Chapter II: The Plan (I)

She stepped out the shower naked, using a brown hand towel to dry both her hair and body.

Putting on a lose t-shirt and shorts, she then poured hot water to a cup of instant noodles.

Waiting for the food to cook, she took out her laptop and started browsing for colleges that she could attend.

Because this time, she wanted to attend a different school from last time.

Attending Howard University was the main reason why she got entangled with Devon and his family in the first place, she couldn't bare to go back to the place where her life from then on became living hell.

Howard University was a reminder of her pain.

As she was about to put a handful of noodles in mouth she suddenly remembered something.

Hurriedly putting away the food, she started typing in her laptop.

'Albert University' she searches.

What pops up in her laptop screen was the university's page and a handful of articles about the Institution.

She clicks one and started reading them.

'Falcon Institution, founded by Duke Albert Fallon on year three-thousand three hundred nine, just after the Falcon civil war is one of the prestigious universities around the globe.

We witness as this year it celebrates it's one-hundred and ninety eight anniversary as an institution that served it students.

It was first established as an academy for the rich and elites, after fifty years of being an academy his grandchildren Duchess Eleanor Fallon of Mayn and Duke Alan of Fallon decided to turn then Falcon Academy into a university.

Thus, after becoming a university it was also renamed into the it's current name, Albert University.

It's main college, Albert University is located on the city of Prosperous also known as Fallon City, remains one of the most prestigious schools in the world, with many of it's branches located throughout the continent.

It also offers a scholarship to those who are financially unstable.

Late Simon Fallon's younger brother Dominique Fallon is said to be enrolling this year into Albert University, following in his predecessors footsteps on preserving the legacy of their ancestors.'

Gabrielle sets her chin in her hands.

Back then, she had always wanted to attend Albert University.

But she backed down due problems in her personal life.

She sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose.

She can absolutely take the test and get a free scholarship at Albert's.

The problem she was facing was the same problem that blocked her way then.

Her uncle Robert.

During the time that she was preparing to take the admissions exam he was diagnosed with stage two liver cancer, and tumor greatly affected his health.

He had no other living relatives, so she decided to stay at Saccre City and enroll at Howard University instead.

But her uncle eventually died a year later.

His medical report states that it was due to cancer, but she later she found out that it was because of Devon poisoning him.

This also lead to him to suspect the identity of his conveniently niece who is the same age, is blonde, and resembles alot like Maria with Richard's eyes and ties with Robert.

Who is, Maria's brother.

Robert may not be an ideal parent, he did hid alot of things from her.

But he did his best to raise her otherwise. And she's gonna pay her gratitude to him by not abandoning him to rot in cancer, and die by questionable means.

But how was she, a mere almost graduate high school student going to make money to treat a cancer patient, and make sure that he doesn't get killed and she doesn't get discovered.

She lets out a loud groan.

Looks like she'll be entering back to the family sooner then expected.

But this time, she'll be going in prepared and with a plan and ready as she'll ever be.

The next morning, after having breakfast that consisted of instant noodles and alot of looking back, Gabrielle decided to tidy up her small studio apartment and organize all her stuff.

Earlier she also have found a weird necklace with a pendant that is the same symbol found in the God's face.

An hourglass clock tilted sideways.

As she sweeps the floor, she contemplates wether or not to actually call her father.

The plan was simple.

First, she'll have to make sure that her uncle is safe and know for certain that Devon can't harm him.

Second, she needs to contact her father Richard and reveal to him who she is.

And with how her father thinks, she knows that he has been suspicious about Devon for a while now, all she needs to do is nudge him to the right direction and she'll have a valuable asset against her dear brother.

Third, get in Albert University.

What? She may want revenge, but it doesn't mean she can't pursue some of the things she couldn't do in her previous life.

Besides, Devon's only daughter Portia Gulliver will be attending the university where she will meet and eventually get in a relationship with a business major named Jelica.

As she recalls, the two date for roughly three years, where he eventually propose shortly before graduating.

But she turned him down.

Her father had set an arrange marriage between her and the son of the Devand family, Liam Devand.

He was a well known playboy and had seduced Portia into bedding him while she was still in a relationship with Azrael.

The Devand family will be the most important ally of Devon later on, with their support, he came into power easily.

But they'll also be his biggest downfall.

The Devands wanted more, they were keen on climbing the social lader, and in their recklessness will be hard blow on Devon.

With Liam's scandals and affairs adding fuel to the fire, the public had came to see the Devands as an arrogant and dirty family that relies on their privilege to get things in life.

On the other hand, Azrael will be revealed to be William Evander and Beatrice Jelica's child.

A product of an affair when William and his wife split for a while.

With the death of William's legitimate sons due to a sudden car accident, Azrael who had a business degree and qualifications was named heir of Evander Groups.

The Evander groups is among the most richest and most influential banks among the country, only second to the Fallons.

And, she'll be exploiting that.

Weaving connections with Azrael will let her gain a trump card that she can add to her deck against the upcoming war against her brother.

If only she can get close to him.

Her wicked mind had suddenly thought of something.
