This list will be updated whenever terms or defenitions of terms that are unique to this story are added in the story itself.

SQS: stands for highschool of Supernatural Quirks and Studies. A famous school located near New York City that's known for it's rich and powerful students.

Pure human: a person with at least 90% human DNA. They have no primary powers.

Occult: humanoid creatures. Examples: vampires, mermaids, fairies, elves, etc. Can be born with secondary powers when one of the parents or grandparents has them. Can also be mixed with a human to create a hybrid.

Demi-human: human-animal hybrids. Often have one or more primary powers coming from the animal side of their DNA. Can have secondary powers too. Often considered dumb because they're part animal.

Primary powers: powers tied to a species. examples: Vampires can teleport, shark hybrids have enhanced strength and stamina.

Secondary powers: your typical list of superpowers. Not tied to a species. Can be mixed and matched to create new powers.

Power activities: Activities where students are allowed to use their superpowers. They usually involve sports. The four activities are a regular sports tournament (freshman year), a dodgeball tournament (sophomore year), the hunt (junior year) and the Battle of the Best (senior year). The last activity is usually shown on TV and not mandatory.
