"Honey, I'm home!" you happily call out, opening the front door to your hotel room.

The hotel room you share with your loving girlfriend, the Princess of Hell herself, Charlie Morningstar.

Recently, the two of you decided to actually move into the Hazbin Hotel, rather than continue commuting to work on a daily basis.

You were able to finally get yourself out of the crumbling, dilapidated apartment building you were staying at since you'd died on Earth, all that time ago.

At the same time, Charlie was able to get herself out of her parents' place and finally have a home of her own.

You're still not entirely sure how Lucifer feels about that. You're a tad bit nervous to ask him.

Come to think of it, you haven't really even met the guy yet.

Maybe that's a good thing, too.

Regardless, this gives you the opportunity to save up on gas money, and lets you be closer to your lover at the same time.

Truly a win-win situation.

Only... your lover doesn't exactly seem to be here, yet.

"Uh... Charlie? You home yet?" you confusedly call out.

Normally, you're the first one home. But you got back super late today.

It was very difficult to talk one particular sinner out of trying to burn down the entire hotel.

Yeah, the Happy Hotel seems to attract a fairly large number of arsonists, for some reason.

That aside, though... you really figured she'd be back by now.

You are about to call her name out again, but you hear a faint voice from the other side of the hotel room.

"(Y/N), I'm here!" she answers.

Huh, sounds like she's in the bedroom.

"Oh, there you are! Had me worried there for a minute, heh heh." you chuckle, heading over to greet her.

"Hehe, yeah, sorry..." she giggles.

Her voice seems a bit... different, though.

Like it's still clearly Charlie, but... she isn't as happy or chipper as she typically is.

You find that the bedroom door is strangely closed, too, for some reason.

"Uh, hun? You okay in there?" you ask.

"Yeah, I'm just, uh- AH CHOO!"

For a split second, the room is suddenly lit up by a bright orange light, and it somehow got strangely warmer as well.

"Did you, just...?" you ask, beginning to open up the door.

"No, don't come in!" she warns. "I don't want you to catch my col- AH CHOO!"

Upon opening the door, you're greeted by a huge ball of fire that dissipates halfway across the room.

You see Charlie laying alone in bed, with a thermometer hanging from her mouth.

Your eyes widen in surprise. "Did you just sneeze fire?"

"Yeah, I'm uh... I'm sick..." she admits with a saddened sigh.

"Well, I can't say I've ever seen a cold with that kind of symptom before!" you chuckle, making Charlie laugh along with you.

"Yeah, it's- *cough* it's different, I know. I think it runs in the family..." she replies.
