The only thing Ink remembered was waking up again the next morning, his body drenched in sweat. He sat up, not necessarily worried but then again not having the emotional capability to yet. None the less his behavior appeared frantic again as he looked through he is weirdly clean apartment again... Ink knew why, but he didn't care anymore, not after knowing better...he knew better.
When he found his vile box, Ink gulped and stood up. The probability of all of them, even the recently filled ones, being there was very slim...so when he opened them he wasn't expecting anything- When he saw a rainbow of colors shining in his face. Some how, all of his feelings were before him, showing him that he got them back...maybe...
Despite the suspicious appearance of the viles, Ink still picked them up and began to drink little bits of each. The sensation of having all of those feelings bombarding him in ways that they had not in years was extremely strange. It felt like to much, so much, the feeling might even be described as dizzying. Ink didn't know if he wanted to vomit or pass out, he felt worried, he felt angry, sad, it was a lot. Stumbling to the front door, Ink threw on a coat and left his apartment.
Everything outside felt irritable, lights to bright, people to loud. The entire world he walked on felt fake. In such a strange way his whole normal reality had changed, very normal to the total opposite. He managed to stumble away though, making his way to his place of work after running into a few to many people. Once inside, he started to go up to his office when he was stopped by some one spinning him around. In front of him was now Dream, appearing happy but also seeming like there was a strange hint of anger also being somewhere inside him and on his expression.
"Ink! Where are you going?"
"Work?"
"Oh don't sound annoyed- Why do you sound like that?"
"Oh um sorry, just feeling groggier then normal."
"Right...anyways todays that brunch, remember?"
"I- I do remember, actually. Where is it?"
Ink was lying through his teeth, and for once his now not lack of emotions started to hinder how efficient his suspension could be hidden, and it showed. But Ink didn't yet know that, and Dream didn't let on that he did.
"It's just over here Ink, follow me. Blue is very excited to see you after so long."
"He is?"
"Extremely, want to go see him?"
"Of course! Let's go!"
His bitter tone before was to much, but his excitement also seemed to suffer for the same reasons. Dream seemed more then suspicious, but didn't say anything about it and just lead Ink off to where Blue was. Both of them went up the elevator to about the middle floor. Ink had never been on that level before, which was kind of weird. Then again he might've, he never knew, never could anymore.
But still he followed behind Dream until he pushed open a set of doors to a bunch of other people, but no Blue.
"Where is-"
"Come on"
After having been instructed, he still followed behind Dream to another set of doors. Behind those ones was more food then people, which wasn't surprising considering there was only one another person there. Once this person finished filling his mug, he turned around to show his familiar blue yellow mixed eyes to Ink.
It was Blue, with his small blue bandanna and golden armor. Blue had control over the guard, a fitting role for such a serious appearing monster. Still he was happy to see Ink, hugging him once he was close enough.
"Ink! It's good to see you again, it's been a while."
"Definitely, where have-"
"Just some guard things, you know how it is"
"Yeah I do-"
"Good, anyways Dream filled me in, how about you get something to eat?"
"Don't you wanna hear about some other things?"
"Nonsense, sit down, eat something, you know?"
Getting pushed to the table, Blue sat him down then sat down a few moments afterwards. Before that, a plate of food had been placed in front of him, yellow fluffy cakes and some drink that Ink couldn't recognize. It all seemed to have a matching pattern though, golden and pastel yellow, and a feeling of force behind it all.
When it was clear that Ink was hesitating to even pick up what was offered to him, Dream also stepped in and argued for him to do so.
"Are you going to have some Ink?"
"Yeah I am, was just thinking you guys would wanna talk a little, instead of just watch me eat..."
"Ink don't worry we will, we just wanna make sure you're feeling ok first."
The statement was weird... Yes not eating may make someone not feel the best, but they'd be fine over all, it wasn't something dire like the two were making it sound like it was. Stranger was when Blue said that, he placed a hand on Ink's leg, and that's when the blob of ink noticed something else. On Blue's hand was a weird glob of green and red paint? Maybe paint? Before Ink could point it out though Blue noticed it as well and slid his hand away and said nothing about it...but that's when Ink began to remember something...partly remember something...maybe.
"Ink?"
"Hm?-"
"What is it?"
Blue asked, in an almost empty like tone, at this point clearly done humoring whatever act Dream wanted to put on for this whole thing. Ink didn't know what to say, or what to do...Blue's unwavering stare not making it any easier to chose words for this situation.
"It's nothing..."
Picking up one of the cakes, Ink looked at it but still waited to actually eat...still thinking and trying to remember until he suddenly did- All of it- No maybe, probably some of it...
He had been under the desk, near it if not completely under it, and someone grabbed him. He can't remember seeing it but he heard glass shattering at some point, and some angry and hurt noises before Ink couldn't remember anymore... But Ink could remember that most of his viles were being hidden on him, but that being said he had no idea on how they would've ended up around the originals...
"Ink? You gonna eat it?"
With a more pushy tone, Blue seems to get a little impatient about Ink not eating anything. With that, and the remembering, the stares, Ink felt himself begin to gag, maybe throw up? When the Blue noticed this, he got out of the way and let Ink run over to a trash can so he could throw up this weird black ink. After he had, Dream ran over appearing worried about what had happened.
"Oh no Ink, what happened? You haven't been sick like that in years..."
"I haven't?.."
"Yeah, maybe you're sick"
"I can be sick?"
"I'm unsure, um here drink something it should help."
Ink just took the drink out of some form of instinct, and he drank it. The effect was almost instant, his eyes shot wide, everything almost seemed to slow in someway. Anything bright seemed brighter, any talking echoed throughout his head. The glass in his hand fell, the golden yellow liquid spilling everywhere.
He felt himself falling to the floor, serious looks being cast upon him until he almost hit the floor. Everything went dark, phased into darkness, anything around slowly went blank until he hit the floor, and again woke up in the morning in bed.
