Violent- Carolsdaughter
The gloomy night covered the world like a blanket, the only light source being the camp fire that gave them the warm feeling against their hands. The flames kept to a small height the small of the fire filled the air as everyone laughed and ate the fish caught that morning.
Kendra sat beside Carl the two were mainly very quiet. Carl was to worried about his father he didn't say much of anything while Kendra had nothing to talk about. She didn't feel the need to talk if nothing was gonna interest them.
The bird book sat in her lap her crayons next to her as she colored in the bird she had found the most pretty. She had seen it before dinner but she hadn't had the chance to color it in.
The light blue colored bird, called a blue bird the stomach was a near white with a hint of blue in it. A small smile on the girls face as she colored the bird. She had already read the small passage about the bird. "What's that?" Carl curiously asked leaning onto the girls shoulder. Sending the boy a quick glance the girl set the crayon back into the box carefully closing it.
"A blue bird" she mumbled turning her head to watch the older girl Amy make her way towards the RV watching as she climbed in before closing the door behind her. "It's pretty" Carl smiled Kendra nodded at his words.
"Mocking birds are the prettiest birds" she smiled before turning back to Amy who was yelling to the group. An ear pricing scream escaped the women's lips as a walker bit into her arm. Kendra watched with wide eyes as she stared at the women, her body went rigid as she watched Amy become walker food.
Sweat dripped down the girls forehead as she watch people running, screaming crying and killing the dead.
Kendra was frozen in place, her eyes widened at the dead in front of her reaching his arms out at Carl and Kendra both to frozen to do anything. An arm wrapped around Carl yanking him back Shane pushed the boy behind his back shooting the walker before running back to Lori a scared Carl in his arms.
A hand gripped Kendra's jumping back Kendra relaxed seeing Gleen holding onto her hand pushing her softly behind him shooting g at any walker that he could see.
The camp reeked of death, between the walkers and the group members, Kendra sat on a log her head down looking at the dirt. The smell of burning flesh filled her nose.
Kendra was scared of what the world was gonna throw at them next. She just hope they'd be able to handle it.
