Apocalypse Cigarettes after sex
Kendra stood outside the RV bloo splattered onto her face and a blank expression on her face. Everything had been ruined in a matter of seconds. Her only friend left had run away, she ran into the forest scared of the dead that chased quickly after her. A single tear ran down her face as she looked to Carol who was sobbing uncontrollably her face in her hands, her body being leaned against Lori's who stared at the ground more specificly Carl who had the same blank look on his face as Kendra did.
Staring down at her hands Kendra leaned back against the RV, her eyes fluttering shut and her eye lashes resting against her cheeks.
Darkness painted the sky, with small stars, Kendra had always found interest in the stars, she loved the way they all seemed to be happy, the way they had always been so perfectly created in the sky.
Everyone was already in their sleeping arrangements but yet Kendra couldn't get comfortable enough to fall asleep, her eyes stayed open as she stared out the small window in the RV, Carol, Lori, and Carl had already fallen asleep on either the bed or the couch leaving Kendra and Dale awake.
Kendra always wondered if the stars were those who had passed away, those who still have to watch over their family members to be sure they stay safe and away from trouble, but it seems like there only is trouble now.
Slowly pushing the cover off of her body Kendra crept away from the couch, pulling the black zip up jacket closer to her body with a deep sigh Kendra pushed open the door to the RV, the cold breeze nipping at her skin hissing at her as she adventured to the back side of the RV. Staring at the ladder Kendra slowly crept up the metal ladder finding Dale in the same place he always was in. A rifle in hand as he watched over the small camp.
Sitting in the chair that Gleen always used a blank expression still on her face. "Shouldn't you be asleep?" Dale questioned, sending a quick glance to the Walsh girl, his voice calm and soft when speaking with the girl.
"I was trying but I couldn't fall asleep" Kendra mumbled, looking at the small fire that was still going with Rick and Shane sitting beside it, lowly speaking with one another. Nodding Dale shrugged it off his shoulders, "Well what's got you up?" He wondered looking at the tree line, the soft breeze flowing within the branches sending leaves flying into camp.
"What do you mean?" Kendra looked to Dale awaiting the answer, she didn't know what really was keeping her awake. "If you can't sleep your mind is busy thinking about something; so what is it?" Dale finished staring at the young girl, a quirked brow.
Kendra's mind quickly wondered to one person, Carl, she's been hurting herself and him, all over wanting the attention of her father back that hasn't even grown in the slightest. Then again there was Sofia, all alone and scared in the dark forest trees, running from the dead.
"I-i don't know" Kendra stuttered out, looking to her hands. Questioned the thought itself. "well when you figure it out, you tell me" he smiled softly as Kendra rose to her feet nodding to the man before bidding him a goodnight. Crawling back under the covers Kendra went to sleep wondering who was keeping her up.
