Kendra was skeptical of the man whom had let them in, taken them away from the dead into a shelter to keep them safe, a place for them to rest their heads and sleep peacefully knowing the dead couldn't hurt them now. Knowing that the monsters where now hidden outside the walls of cdc.
The cool metal chair sent shivers up the girls spine as she sat with her legs crossed over one another, her leg bouncing with anxiety and her black zip up jacket removed from her right arm.
He dirty converse seemed to stand out against the man's clean shoes his clean skin and his clean clothes. Everything about the place was clean even the only man left.
"Scared?" The man questioned quirking a brow at the girl who blinked quickly trying to hide the fear in her eyes. "Never" she replied with a shaky breath as her eyes landed on the needle.
"Well I wouldn't be surprised you seem like a very strong young lady" he stated as the needle pierced the girls skin. Finding it's way into her vein. Kendra nodded shutting her eye tightly biting back the tears that threatened to fall from her brown eyes.
"Finished" he stated placing a bandaid covered in small pink hearts onto the small hole he had previously pricked. Smiling softly Kendra jumped down for the seat making her way towards the blank grey wall, leaning her back against the wall she finally allowed herself to take in everything in the space.
Rows and rows of desks and computers sat perfectly cleaned and ready to be used, a large television was on the furthest wall away from everyone the screen blank and a hollow gray color.
Her hand was gently lifted and tugged on slightly pulling the brunette to her feet a smile apparent on the boys face that quickly faded when she yanked her hand away from his grasp. His face made her wanna cry knowing she hurt him, this is what she wanted though, she had to hurt him to be able to fully have her father back in her life. That's what she needed to do, push him away then her father will give her the attention she deserves.
Storming away from the boy with her arms crossed over her chest, Kendra sat down in the empty seat beside Glenn a glass plate Infront of her, filled with loads of different types of foods, and a small glass cup sitting beside the plate filled to the brim with crystal clear water.
Stabbing into the food with her silver fork Kendra sighed in relief as she tried to savor all of the food on her plate.

Kendra's small legs guided her down the halls, a hand on the wall as she adventured deep into the underground building. At the end of the white clean hall was a door, a silver door that didn't look anything like the other doors. The numbers '222' apparent on the door in bold writing. Cocking her head slightly at the door quirking her brow Kendra always believed in angel numbers, she mainly did because her mother always had. She believed that it truly was a sign from angels while her father believed that it was just number and a while lot of bull crap.
Pushing her wet hair behind her ears Kendra's hand gently grasped the handle twisting the knob pushing open the door. Her eye widened at the bedroom, a large bed was in the middle of the room while two dressers along with a vanity was on the wall. The vanity held lovely colored jewelry, from necklaces to rings, silver and gold accessories happily laid on the desk away from harms way.
Inching closer to the desk Kendra gently picked up a piece of the delicate jewelry. Holding the necklace up her hand behind the small heart at the bottom of the necklace the numbers '444' engraved into the small heart. A smile spread across her face as she thought back to her mom.
"That was my wife's" a voice suddenly boomed in the empty room jumping slightly Kendra turned on her heels staring at the man. "I'm sorry I didn't know" Kendra was quick to apologize holding out the necklace for the man to take back.
"I'm not upset it's just different seeing it without her" the man shrugged sitting on the edge of the bed. A bottle of wine in his hands and a small frown on his face as he stared at the girl. Nodding the girl softly smiled at the man. "you should have it" he mumbled softly staring at the necklace, rasing her brows Kendra shook her head softly as she sat the necklace down. "I can't thats you're wife's" Kendra mumbled softly staring at the man who shrugged his shoulders.
"She always wanted a kid, I always said we should wait that we needed to be sure we're ready before we have one" Jenner choked out as he took a large sip from the bottle before setting it back down beside his legs on the floor a frown on his face as he spoke to the girl. "she wanted a girl, wanted to name her Kenny, she wanted to be able to teach her about things she strongly believed in such as angel numbers" Jenner smiled softly at the memory playing in his head as Kendra nodded softly.
"She believed so strongly in them, she seen four four four so many times she bought that said it was a sign that everything was gonna be just fine that the angels were guiding us" he stated softly as Kendra nodded, she didn't understand why he was telling her this, she didn't understand what any of this had to do with her.
"Besides she'd want you to have it, she'd tell you it was a sign" he mumbled standing up from the bed, grasping the small chain in his hands with a smile. Clasping it behind her neck. Letting it drop into her chest.
"You best be getting to bed now" he mumbled starting for the door to the bedroom. Nodding the girl started her way down the hall. "and Kendra, talk more people should know what you have to say" he nodded before shutting the door.
