Chapter 14

It's the day of Izz and Bo's wedding, and many people have gathered for their wedding. They have been together for so long that the village has been waiting years for this day. It is a week after Izz had turned eighteen and the scenery is beautiful. It is a cooler time in the Kingdom of Lun, still warmer than what Jiban is used to though. The wedding is held close to the forest with the most beautiful decorations he has ever seen. The kingdom made them an archway covered in flowers and other decorum. Izz is in a beautiful blue dress that makes her blue eyes pop and her long blonde hair also carries flowers in it.

    "I'm happy for them." Mei says who went with Jiban to the wedding as things with Lennox are rocky. "You want that with Lennox someday?" She teases and Jiban nudges her, gesturing to all the people around. "Trust me, with how beautiful Izz looks today, no one is paying attention."

    "Don't even think about it!" Jiban glares at Mei.

    "Hey! You know I don't go after taken women. I have some morals." She jokes. "How are things with you and Lennox anyways?" Jiban looks around, pretending to be interested in the decorations again before reluctantly answering, "They have been.. okay I guess."

"What is 'okay I guess'?" Mei asks.

"Well, let's just say that after I told him everything we haven't been sleeping in the same bed together." Jiban states and Mei covers her ears. "Lalalalalala. Oh my stars! Too much information!" She exclaims.

"You asked." Jiban replies.

"I'm getting something to drink. You want something?" Mei asks, beginning to walk away. "Make it strong." Jiban replies and Mei walks away to get them both something to drink, but almost as soon as she walks away Lennox comes over to him.

"Hey.." Lennox begins shyly.

"Hey.." Jiban replies nervously.

"Look, I know things between us have been weird, but I just want you to know that I still feel the same. I just- you know, so take your time to figure it out and when you do, we'll talk about it then okay." Lennox says, trying to hand Jiban a glass of wine, but he is having trouble doing so.

"It's okay Mei actually-" Jiban explains, but as he turns to point at her, he sees her flirting with a woman. "Was going to get me something to drink." He turns back to Lennox, taking the glass. "Thanks.. and thank you for understanding."

"Of course." Lennox replies, clinking their glasses. "And also I thought about what you said, about needing to start conquering and I agree. It took me a while to see it, but I understand now." He says and drinks his wine.

Jiban looks at him weirdly, "Did you do something that I should know about?" He questions. Why is Lennox being so open all of a sudden? "You're acting kind of weird right now." He feels his forehead. "Are you already drunk or something?"

"Drunk off lovvveee." Lennox says before laughing a bit and taking Jiban's hand, but Jiban pulls it away.

"We are in public. You're also wasted. Izz is going to kill you for being drunk at her wedding!" Jiban puts his glass Lennox handed him away before trying to take Lennox's, but Lennox finishes the drink before he can.

"There's no way I am drunk because this was only my second glass." Jiban takes the glass away as Lennox almost falls on him, he looks around before sitting him up. Many of the other guests are acting as if they are drunk as well.

The wedding begins though and Izz walks down the aisle, not noticing everything going on around her as she smiles, only looking at Bo at the opposite end. Once she's there, she holds hands with Bo who is smiling like crazy, almost in tears.
