Luckily, it was the weekend. No school, and the two boys could do whatever they wanted. Shuichi decided to catch up on some homework and Kokichi decided to play video games on his phone. "Hey Shuichi, what's your number?" That's right, Kokichi and Shuichi never did exchange numbers. Both boys now had the other's number, or at least that's what Shuichi had thought. Kokichi sent a text message saying "I'll win your heart!" Whatever that was supposed to mean. Shuichi was pretty dense for a detective, nonetheless, he was a great detective at his young age. If only he had noticed... Kokichi was kind of frustrated that the taller boy didn't understand his practically-confession. After what felt like many long hours, Shuichi had finally finished his homework. It was about afternoon, so the two boys decided to go to the park. The sun was shining and Kokichi kept complaining that it was too bright, but Shuichi just ignored him. Kokichi grabbed Shuichi's hand and dragged him to the park swings and insisted that they swing together. It felt nice to do this childish activity, you could even say it was calming. "Shumai, let's have a competition to see who can swing higher!" Kokichi didn't even wait for the blue haired boy's response and instantly tried to swing higher, Shuichi had no choice but to the same. "HUFF... HUFF.." both boys were exhausted and got off the swings to take a break. They sat under a lovely tree, both about to pass out. "I... definitely won...!" Kokichi had just managed to get that phrase out. "Haha... I guess you did..." in reality, Shuichi and Kokichi were swinging at the same height, but Shuichi didn't mind letting Kokichi think he won, after all that proud smile was worth seeing. It was sweet, and almost cute? "Doesn't the winner get a prize?" Kokichi's smile of pride turned into a smile of mischief, just what was the liar planning? "Uhm, I don't really have any prizes to give you-" "YES YOU DO, I WANT YOUR HEART!!" Did Shuichi just hear that correctly? Kokichi wanted his heart? Shuichi finally understood the meaning behind the text message, Kokichi had meant he wanted to date Shuichi.
Shuichi didn't know how to react until he felt a pair of lips on his. At first, he was hesitant, but then kissed back. Kokichi broke the kiss, and ran away out of embarrassment, but if Shuichi was being honest, he wanted Kokichi's heart too... Shuichi chased after the purple haired boy and eventually caught him. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't of done that..." Kokichi was staring at the ground, he didn't want to look Shuichi in the eye in case he didn't feel the same. "Kokichi..." the liar was mentally preparing himself for rejection, here it comes. "I didn't mind the kiss, in fact, I kind of enjoyed it. I guess you did win my heart..." What. Kokichi was trying to process the words the taller male had just said. "So... Are we boyfriends now?" Kokichi finally gathered the courage to look into Shuichi's beautiful golden-greyish eyes. "I guess we are," both boys were extremely overjoyed, but would never admit to it. Kokichi merely just hugged Shuichi, and refused to let go no matter what. The two boys just stayed hugging for a while, it felt nice. Some people walking by had given them weird stares like they were crazy, Shuichi just assumed they were homophobic. But there was one thing that confused the detective, why did Kokichi have no body heat? Many odd things had occurred ever since the killing game ended, but Shuichi chose not to worry about it right now. He just wanted to enjoy the loving embrace of his boyfriend, and he had secretly wished they could stay like this forever.A/N: Heyo, Nozomi here!
