9am Friday, the day of the tour:
Everyone in Dreamcatcher was excited for the tour, they woke up early to prepare to go to YG's main office. Lisa already informed them that they already have their visitor's pass on the front desk, all they have to do is to go there and Lisa will personally fetch them for the tour. After having breakfast and while waiting for Lisa's text, the girls were watching TV. "Unnie, who do you hope to see on the tour?" Gahyeon asked. "Well, I'm kinda expecting Big Bang to be there, but I think that's impossible since they are very busy." Dami replied. "I'm hoping to meet Teddy and the other producers, I want to ask them how they make such bangers." Siyeon replied as well. After a few minutes, JiU's phone rang, indicating that she received a message. "Guys, let's wait outside, Lisa just texted me that she already sent a driver to our dorms, he should be arriving any minute now." she said. After hearing that, they all went to retouch their make up and immediately went outside. About 3 minutes later, a black van appeared outside their dorms and a man in a suit came out from the driver seat. "Dreamcatcher? Hello, my name is Jonas, I was sent by Ms. Manoban to fetch you and bring you to YG." The man said. "Yes, we are Dreamcatcher, pleasure to meet you Mr. Jonas." JiU said as she and the other girls bowed to greet the driver. "So, shall we go ahead?" The driver asked. "Let's go go go!!" SuA shouted excitedly while the other girls, including the driver laughed at her actions.
The van was buzzing with anticipation and nervousness. This was Dreamcatcher's first time to visit YG and honestly, they didn't know what to expect. After a few minutes, the van stopped and the driver immediately went outside and opened the door for them. "Ladies, we are here, welcome to YG's main building." As they stepped outside, each of the girl were astounded by the size of the building. "Wow! This is like a hundred times larger than DCC!" Handong exclaimed. "Right?!?" Yoohyeon said as well. They walked towards the entrance and as expected, Lisa was there in front. "Hello ladies! Welcome to YG! If you can just go towards the front desk to collect your passes, I'll wait here then we can proceed to the office." Lisa said. The girls immediately complied and one by one they got their passes. Once all of them have their passes, Lisa then ushered them inside the building. "Before we start the tour, let's go to the conference room first, I have a few people I want y'all to meet, and also a surprise." Lisa said, this made the girls very excited. Lisa then led the girls to the elevator and pressed the button to the 9th floor.
As they reached the room, each of the girls took a seat, "wow, even the conference room is big, just how many people can fit in here?" Siyeon asked curiously. "This can fit at least 20-30 people." Lisa answered. "Since we are in the office, shall we call you Sajangnim now?" SuA asked. "Hahaha, technically yes, but since it's just us, we can still talk informally, but once the other guests arrive, then it's business mode." Lisa answered. A few minutes later, the first guest arrived much to the girls' surprise. "Hello, Lisa-nim, good morning and good morning to all of you as well!" Mr. Lee, Dreamcatcher's CEO said he entered the room. "Sajangnim! What a surprise! Are you here for the tour too?" JiU asked as they bowed to their CEO. "You can say that, hahaha." Mr. Lee replied, clearly amused. Lisa's phone then rang and she smiled as soon as she took a look at the message. "Looks like the surprise came in early, girls, Mr. Lee, please take a look over here." Lisa said as she guided them towards the large TV in front. On the screen it shows:
Breaking news! We have just received news that Dreamcatcher Company has been acquired by YG Entertainment! No other details have been reported, we'll get back to you once other information is available.
Lisa then cleared her throat to get the girls' attention as they were still clearly in shock of the news. "So, as you may already have heard, DCC is now a subsidiary of YG Ent., that is why you are here, this is not just a simple tour but is also a welcome party, kind of. Lisa said. "I-I can't believe this, Sajangnim, do you know about this? Is this why you're here?" JiU asked. "Yes, Minji, this is like the official handing down of the torch." Mr. Lee replied. "Please, Mr. Lee, you are not handing down anything, you are still incharge of DCC." Lisa replied while chuckling. "I know you are still in shock, but please take a seat and I'll explain it to all of you in detail as soon as the other guests arrive." Lisa said. The girls immediately complied.
The room was silent for a few minutes when Mrs. Choi, their secretary, went inside. "Ms. Manoban, you co-CEOs and shareholders have arrived." "Thank you Mrs. Choi." Lisa replied. Moments later, the rest of Blackpink arrived. "Ladies, let me introduce you to my co-CEOs: Kim Jisoo, Kim Jennie and Park Chaeyoung" Lisa said as she stood up, now in business mode. "The rest of Blackpink then greeted them, "Good morning ladies, and to you Mr. Lee, good morning." They said as they made a bow. All of the Dreamcatcher girls and their CEO stood up and greeted them, bowing as well. Before the girls could recover from their shock, Lisa once again introduced the other guests who arrived one by one , this time it was their shareholders who arrived. "Please welcome our shareholders, Big Bang and 2ne1" Lisa said.
After the introductions, Lisa requested that they all sit down so she can start to explain the events that happened. She then stood up. "Ladies, I know this is a shock to all of you so I apologize in advance. We deliberately kept it secret as part of our strategy, as you already know, YG has acquired DCC. This is part of our plans for 2020, to acquire small to medium sized companies. Our reason for this is to help these companies break into the mainstream, as you already know, these companies are given less to no opportunities to showcase their talents. With this acquisition not only will DCC be known as part of the Big 4 but with additional resources from YG, the opportunity for tours and promotions will be increased exponentially. There will be more exposure to variety and reality shows. But, just like what I said to Mr. Lee earlier, he is still incharge, we will not interfere with your style of music nor interfere with how Mr. Lee runs the company, I have full trust in him that he will not lead you astray. We are just here to provide the resources." Lisa explained. "If you can remember, I've talked to each and one of you regarding your dreams, and with what you said, we have come up with the best strategy on how we can make Dreamcatcher the next big girl group because let's be honest, all of you deserve this after working tirelessly for 4 years, I cannot guarantee that this is instantaneous but I can assure you that we will work very hard to make all of your dreams come true." Lisa added. She then looked directly at Handong and said while smiling, "Handong-ssi, remember what I told you when we were in China? I'm here to fulfill that promise." Handong could no longer contain her tears and cried loudly. Other members immediately went to Handong to pacify the crying girl with teary eyes, they were all so touched by what Lisa said. GD then stood up and said. "Ladies, this is just the beginning, with Mr. Lee's approval we have made the best strategy for this, we will start after your upcoming comeback and promotions. Our plan is that-"
"All of you will have a 6 month hiatus and go back to being trainees." T.O.P. said in a loud voice.
