Clint's POV
When we got back to the shield base, I ignored everyone and went to my room. Grabbing my bow and arrows, I climbed out my window. I slid off the roof, being careful not to be seen by anyone. After I finally managed to escape the base (I also stole one of their cars), I drove away. No one would care if I just went off. On my own, creating my own life. Not knowing where I was going, I drove to the nearest town. It must have been a big day because there were people everywhere. I tapped my fingers impatiently while I was waiting for the light to change. A girl walked across the sidewalk late and the light turned green.
"Hit her," someone said beside me and I jumped. I turned to see Loki sitting there. I groaned, putting my head on the steering wheel.
"What part of jumping out a window, sneaking away, and stealing a car made you think I wanted company?"
"I figured you were going to do something stupid. If bad goes down anywhere, Fury instantly blames me. So I would rather actually do something bad than just be blamed for it," Loki said. He reclined the seat back. I stared at him.
"Go away," I finally said.
"Nah, I'm not in the mood to tell Thor I'm not his brother so I'll annoy you instead."
"Joy." The girl with brown hair had made it all the way across the sidewalk already so I pulled out.
"Where are we going?" Loki asked and I shrugged. I drove around the corner and saw the brown hair girl speeding down the road, pushing past people.
"Why is she running?" I asked.
"I'm going to assume it's because of those people chasing her. Are those guns they're holding?" I did an illegal U turn and flew after her.
"We should just leave her," Loki said, looking at his nails.
"We're not going to leave her to die," I said.
"Maybe she's a criminal or a murderer. Maybe she shot someone. What if she was a spy? She could work for SHIELD couldn't she Barton?"
"Thank you for the commentary Loki. It's not at all distracting," I growled. He was quiet for a minute and I turned to see he wasn't even there. That was fine. I could finish the job on my own.
I pulled over and got out of the car. The girl had run down this alley and the men had chased her. My bow was in my hand and I kept my eyes peeled.
"You are quite loud Barton." I flipped around, an arrow loaded.
"Loki, if you do that again, I'll shoot you." Loki put his hands up in a don't shoot gesture, smirking. I rolled my eyes and we crept silently down the alley. There were voices ahead. I looked around the corner and saw the girl. She was on the ground, sitting against the wall. One of the men were holding a gun, pointing it at her.
"Ok, Loki," I said, turning to him. "You get the girl, I'll get the gun." He nodded and I leaned out and shot one of my smoke arrows. While everyobe was coughing, we ran in. Loki helped the girl up and led her away. I knocked the gun out of the guys hand. I kicked him and he fell. One of the other ones lifted the gun, pointing it at me. There was a bang and I cringed, closing my eyes. I didn't feel anything. I opened my eyes to see Loki standing in front of me. The guy dropped the gun and the whole group of men ran away.
"Loki," I said. I caught him as he fell. There was blood on his stomach, soaking his shirt. Just looking at it made me feel sick.
"Owwww," Loki said. His face was paleing.
"You idiot! What did you do that for? Now your going to die and I'm going to have to live with that on my conscience."
"It hurts," he said. I lifted him, allowing him to use my shoulders. The girl was standing by the car and ran over to help. Together, we helped Loki into the back and he laid his head down. I got in the front and the girl climbed in with me.
"What's your name?" I asked as we pulled away.
"Alessia," she said.
"I'm Clint," I replied as we drove down the road.
"I know who you are," Alessia said. I frowned, looking at her. She was young, around my age. She had really long brown hair and blue eyes.
"I go to your school," she said. "We have the same science class."
"Oh, I remember now." She sits three rows away but I've seen her. She's really smart, always raising her hand.
"Why were those guys chasing you?" I asked her.
"I used to know them. My brother was friends with them. Things went bad between them because they are drug dealers. My brother told on them and they got sent to rehab."
"Really?" I asked and she launched into the story. That's when I realized the dilemma I was in. I couldn't bring Alessia to headquarters with me and I couldn't drop her off because Loki was hurt. So I just did the next best thing......
"Loki is going to kill me," I said to myself as he was brought on a bed into the hospital. I escused myself from Alessia for a moment and went in search of a payphone. Surprisingly, they still have some. I called headquarters and Tony answered.
"Hello," he said.
"Tony, it's me. Listen, something bad has happened and-,"
"I don't care," Tony interrupted. "You crushed Natasha so I don't care if your dead in a ditch. Goodbye."
"Loki got hurt!" I shouted in a last attempt to get him to listen to me.
"What?!" Someone (Thor) yelled in the background. The phone was grabbed and Thor was on the other end.
"What has happened to my brother?" He demanded.
"He got shot. You guys need to come here right now." I heard running around and the door open, then close. I breathed a sigh of relief. The rest of the Avengers were coming. Things were going to be ok. I hope.

A/N
So, new chapter out. Loki is hurt and Alessia is the newest character in the book. Unfortunately, for the forgiven parts, there is only two. Clint won't be the bad guy forever. Shout out to @lessiedemp10 for believing in me and making sure I update asap. Thank you so much for the great ideas! For anyone who likes Steve and Natasha together, you might get some of that next chapter. Comment and vote!
