Demi's POV:

Simon fucking Cowell... Yes, he was Brae's biological father. We had a short thing back when I was a judge on X factor. Yes. I know he's 33 years older than me, and yes he's very hard-headed. But if you looked past all of that, he really was a good man, my feelings for him never really went away. I just despised him for leaving me alone at 19. Brae was unmistakably his kid, the lips, the smile, and they even had the same laugh. When he told me how sorry he was to the both of us for what he did, I couldn't help but love him even more. I hated doing this in front of my daughter who just had given birth not an hour before though. "Simon, I really appreciate you saying that but I don't want to talk about this right now after my- I mean our daughter just had a baby. Maybe we can talk over coffee or tea sometime, but for right now, let's just enjoy the baby." I told him, I still can't believe he came here. "Yeah, okay. Braelynn, how are you feeling? Do you have a name picked out for her?" He asked, turning his attention to Brae, and the baby. "I'm feeling okay, thank you. Also, I have a name in mind, but it's not set in stone. I have to check with my boyfriend first." Brae replied, just then the baby started crying again, she was probably hungry. Braelynn had decided to breastfeed her, which I thought was a good choice. "Mom, can you get like a blanket or something that I can cover up with so I can feed her?" Brae asked, I stood up, looking around the small hospital room for something to cover her up. I found another blanket, identical to the one the nurses had swaddled the baby in. "Here, my love,"  I told her, handing the blanket to her. She smiled at me and took it "Braelynn when you get out of the hospital, and after you heal a little. How would you like to go out to dinner with your mother and me? Just for a get-to-know-you type of thing, of course, if you're okay with it Demi." Simon asked, looking over at me after Brae had started feeding the baby. "Yeah, that sounds nice. It would probably have to be a little bit though, just to give us some time to settle in with the baby, and for her to heal." I replied, Braelynn nodded in agreement, "yeah I would really like that." Braelynn replied. "Awesome, well I have to get going, but Demi can I have your number so we can set something up later?" Simon asked, "yeah here," I replied, giving him my phone to put his number in my phone. I shot him a quick 'hey' to secure it. "Got it! Great, thank you and it was great to meet you, Braelynn. Congratulations on your little one!" Simon replied, "it was nice meeting you too Simon, and thank you." Brae replied.

Braelynn's POV:

Well, I just met my dad for the first time ever! He was really nice but knowing he and my mom were a thing, kind of disgusts me. I feel like they might be cute together, if it weren't for the age difference and if he weren't so grandpa-like. My mom used to call him 'grandpa' as a joke when she did the panel with him. He called her 'brat', I thought it was just cause they were just messing with each other, but now I realize they were flirting. A little gross, but oh well. Ash was gonna be here any minute, he left work right away as soon as he heard I was in labor. It took an hour and a half to get to the hospital from where he worked. So he missed the birth which was a little disappointing, but I'm glad he could get off work. "He was nice mom. I can see why you liked him, all I've seen of him was on X factor, and AGT, when he's super grumpy and hard-headed n' stuff. But he seems like a super nice guy." I said right as the door opened, it was Ash, yay! "Hi baby, I'm so sorry I missed it," he told me, in a hushed tone. "Hey, babe it's okay it's not your fault, This is our daughter. Do you wanna hold her?" I asked after he kissed me on the forehead. "Yeah, of course, we still need to pick out a name!" Ashton replied, "yeah we do. What do you think about the name Devin Devonne?" I asked, I wanted her to have my mom's middle name, but I wasn't sure how he felt about that. "I absolutely love that, and I love that it's your mom's middle name," he replied. "Thanks, babe! I like it too, mom are you okay with her having your middle name?" I asked, turning to my mom. "Of course I am, I love it!"
