Braelynn's POV:

It had been four days since I had Devin, she was doing fantastic. She does amazing at night, all I really have to do is get her up for feeding, and a diaper change. Mom said I was NOT that easy as a baby, she said I wouldn't go to sleep unless I were right next to her. Simon had kept in contact with mom, he seemed super nice I wish I had known him growing up. He appears to be an amazing dad, "Braelynn, Brae sweetie!" I was quickly pulled out of my thoughts when I heard my mom trying to get my attention. "Wha-oh, sorry mom! I was just thinking about what Dev needed for clothes and stuff." I lied, "It's okay, I was just trying to tell you that she was crying. I think she wants her momma," mom replied, gesturing to the nursery door where I heard my daughter wailing, my maternal instincts were kicking in, and telling me that was a fake cry. I laughed a little to myself and walked over to her room. As soon as I lifted her from her bassinet, her cries turned into coos. She's such a drama queen, like her mom, I gave her a little peck on her soft tiny pink lips. She stared up at me with her big blue eyes, I laughed "momma knows that was a fake cry babygirl, you need to go back to sleep love bug!" I told her, knowing she didn't know what I was saying, I bounced up and down, rocking her to sleep. Her eyes slowly started to close, and soon she was asleep. I decided against putting her back in her crib, I knew the second I did she would wake right back up, so I brought her into the family room where my mom was sitting on the large grey sectional scrolling through her phone. "I didn't wanna put her down 'cause I knew she'd wake right back up and start wailing as soon as I did. She's such a drama queen, as soon as I picked her up, she stopped crying. She takes after me..." I joked, my mom looked up at me with her dark, chocolate-brown eyes, and laughed. "Yeah, you used to be the same exact way, you wouldn't go to sleep in your crib, and would scream your head off until I picked you up." Mom laughed, I joined in on the laughter.  "When are we gonna meet Simon for dinner? I really wanna get to know him." I asked, changing topics a bit abruptly, "I don't know hun, I haven't really thought about it. I figured he would reach out when he was ready." Mom replied, I put Devin down once I knew she was asleep and sat down next to my mom. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I hope he does," I replied, snuggling up against moms chest, she hugged me and kissed the top of my head. "Yeah, me too babygirl. Me too." Just then moms phone rang.

Demi's POV:

Secretly I wished Simon would reach out too, I wanted to get back the relationship we had. My phone rang, breaking me from my thoughts. I looked at the caller ID, it was Simon. "It's Simon, speaking of the devil," I told Braelynn, her eyes widened, and I picked up the phone and slid the phone icon over answering the call. "Hello? Hey Simon, how are you?" I asked as I brought the phone up to my ear, "I'm good, how are you?" He asked, "I'm good thanks!" I replied, "Okay, so I was wondering if your three wanted to come over to my place for dinner sometime this week if Braelynn is feeling up for it." Simon offered, "let me ask her really quick." I replied, covering the speaker with my hand, "Brae, Simon wants to know if you'd feel up for going over to his place sometime this week for dinner." I asked, and she nodded her head. "She said she'd love to." I replied, "awesome, how does Saturday at 5:00 work?" He asked, "that sounds awesome!" I replied, "awesome, I'll see you guys then!" He replied, I could tell he was smiling. I was too, "awesome! Yeah, see you then!" I replied and we hung up. "I'm gonna go over to the studio and was wondering if you wanted to duet on 'Nightingale' with me."
