Braelynn's POV:

Wait, did my mom really just ask me if I wanted to do a duet with her on one of her most personal songs? Woah, "y-yeah sure, mom that song is really personal to you. Are you sure you want me in it most likely fuck-messing it up?" I asked, catching myself before dropping the F-bomb in front of my mom, she still gave me the classic mom death glare. "Braelynn, you have an amazing voice, there is no way you'd mess it up. You'd just make it all the better," mom replied "o-okay. If you're sure. I should go get Dev ready, would you mind grabbing the baby carrier from the coat closet for me?" I asked, she smiled down at me and nodded "thank you," I replied we walked off in separate directions. "Hey baby girl, time to wake up my love. You're gonna get to hear momma and nana sing for the first time." I cooed to my daughter, that's weird my mom's a grandma... I thought to myself, Dev cooed up at me with her bright blue eyes, "someone's a happy baby! That's my baby girl." I told her, lifting her from her bassinet. I placed a small kiss on her tiny forehead, before changing her onesie.

Demi's POV:

Little did Brae know, I was gonna have Simon come in, and listen to her. I wasn't gonna sing at all. I just told her she was gonna duet with me so she would feel comfortable enough to sing. "Okay, Oak Brae and I are gonna duet with 'Nightingale' can you get that playing for us?" I asked, Oak knew what I was planning on doing. He nodded, "hey Brae, I'm gonna go use the restroom really fast, you can start singing, just sing the whole thing until I get back," I told her, sneaking out of the sound booth, she nodded, putting on her headphones, I acted like I was leaving the room, but when the music started she closed her eyes and started singing, Simon had come in right after the music started. "I can't sleep tonight, wide awake and so confused everything's in line, but I am bruised. I need a voice to echo I need a light to take me home kinda need a hero, is it you? I'd never see the forest for the trees, I could really use your melody baby I'm a little blind, I think it's time for you to find me. Can you be my nightingale, sing to me I know you're there, you could my sanity bring me peace, sing me to sleep. Say you'll be my nightingale." Brae sang, she had the voice of an angel. "She's got a voice as good as her mom's," Simon whispered to me while putting a hand on my back, making me shiver. I missed him, and his touch. "She does. Thanks, Simon, I really appreciate you being here." I told him, and he smiled down at me. "Of course, I miss being around you," he replied "Mom, what- Simon? Mom, you didn't tell me Simon was gonna be here! Why aren't you in the booth with me?" Brae asked, I just smiled. "Just keep singing, love. You're doing phenomenal." I replied, "Braelynn, do you know 'Body Say' well enough to sing it today?" Oak asked, "Uhm, yeah. I'm confused, why aren't you singing with me, mom?" Brae asked, "I want to hear you sing, love. You underestimate yourself," I replied, Oak started the track for 'Body Say'.
