Part 5 Screams And Shouts

A little more than two months later

Angie's POV

It's Halloween and I am pumped. My first Halloween with the queens. Lizzie's going as Anne, I'm going as Kitty, Mary's going as Lina, Mea—now two years old as of the thirtieth of August (the day after the queens told me their resurrection stories)—is going as a professor, and Ed & Henry are going as knights. Henry and I are setting up as Anne kicks open the door and comes in with the others. I shake my head as the dogs start barking.

"You're back!" Lizzie says. She runs into me and we slide to the door. I chuckle nervously.

"Hi." I say.

"Guess what we got for tick or treaters!" She says showing us a box of skittles in those mini ziplock bags.

"Skittles!" Lizzie says excitedly. I lick my lips in excitement in my head. "Awesome! Mind if we have a few?" I look at them pleadingly.

"I think we can spare a few packs. What do you think Kitty?" Anne asks. We give puppy dog eyes.

"It's fine with me." Mum says.

"Awesome! Thanks, you guys!" I say as they hand us each a pack.

"Yeah, thanks a bunch." Lizzie says. We open them and pick out our first with our eyes shut.

"Ooh. Red one." I say. I throw it in my mouth. "Mmmmm. Strawberry." Everyone looks at me funny.

"What?" Everyone laughs.

"Why do you like red candy so much?" Anne asks.

"How do you mean?" I ask.

"Your favorite candy is the red ring pops. I've also seen you eat only the red lollipops, red and orange airheads, and now red skittles." Kitty says.

"Because in my opinion, anything red has the best flavor." I say.

"Ha!" Anna says. We high-five.

"How dare you turn my own child against me?" Mum jokes.

"Our! Our child!" Anna fires back. I know they're playing around, but I'm not exactly sure how to feel about Anna calling me hers.

"Oh, it is so on." Kit says. She jumps on Anna and starts attacking her with kisses. Anne covers my eyes and Lizzie's eyes slowly and we let her. I don't know about Lizzie, but I don't wanna see this. Again. To be clear, I walked in on my father with all his "girlfriends". Not by dumb luck, by force. He'd make me when he got enough.

"Alright, that's enough. You're scaring your kid." Aragon says. They immediately stop. Everyone and I mean everyone... in this house is afraid of Lina. Even Mary and Anne.

"So, I've been meaning to ask—" I swallow my next skittle with a gulp. "why do you go by Katherine K-A-T-H-R-I-N-E when you're birth name was Katheryn K-A-T-H-E-R-Y-N?" I ask.

"Two reasons. One, that name has lots of bad memories attached to it." She says.

"Noted and fair." I say.

"And two, when I was brought back it just seemed more... normal." She says.

"Same here." Cathy says. Her birth name was Kateryn Parr. Lina nods along with them. Lina's actual name was Katherine with a 'K' or Catalina.

"And Anne, I know for a fact that you didn't cheat on Henry. Why? Why make it look like you did? You wouldn't have jumped into bed with five men if you waited seven years for the king." I say.

"It was... just easier. If I told the real story, I'd have to face the truth. And I did try to make him jealous after my last miscarriage. He was putting his eyes on all these different women." She says. She looks at me sadly. "I didn't know what to do. I didn't really flirt. I just... talked. Looking back, it could've seemed like flirting to them. Everything else was just the writers, I wanted to mention Lizzie more, they say no, that her story wasn't mine to mention. I didn't want the threesome part, wanted to make it clear that that he thought he could have three people in a marriage, but they wouldn't take no. They said it needed the drama." I think that it wasn't their place to say that, but whatever.
