Seoul University's wide campus buzzed with life. Students hurried between lecture halls, the crisp autumn air carrying the scent of coffee from the nearby cafés. Amidst the crowd, six boys entered together—each one carrying the kind of presence that turned heads instantly.
They weren't just any group of students. Sons of powerful business families, they had grown up with wealth, responsibility, and expectations. Yet, within their circle, they were simply brothers.
Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jimin were in the same semester, studying business management. Hoseok, Jin, and Namjoon were a semester ahead. Despite the difference in classes, they often ended up together—especially for professional communication lectures, which everyone had to attend.
"Hyung, we're heading toward our class," Taehyung said, adjusting his bag with his trademark boxy smile. "We'll meet you guys during the communication lecture."
"Alright," Jin replied, straightening his glasses. "But take care of that angry brat Jungkook. You know how short-tempered he is."
"Relax, hyung," Jimin chimed in, flashing his playful eye-smile. "I'll handle this bunny... and this cute tiger." He pointed at Jungkook and Taehyung.
"Yah!" Jungkook snapped, glaring. "We're the ones taking care of you, Mochi."
Jimin puffed his cheeks. "I'm older than you, brat."
"Okay, Jimin-ssi," Jungkook teased, smirking.
"Enough, stop bickering. We're getting late," Taehyung interrupted with a huff.
"See you later, hyung. Bye!" Jungkook called as they split.
"Bye," Namjoon replied distractedly, already lost in thought.
Beside him, Hoseok was glued to his phone, eyes scanning rapidly.
Namjoon frowned. "What are you doing? Since morning you've barely looked at us. You're just buried in that phone."
Hoseok's usual bright smile dimmed. "Actually, hyung, I was reading the latest news about Min Corporation. Their daughters—Hana and Haarinaa—got into an accident yesterday. Their condition is critical. They're still in the hospital."
Jin's face fell. "Yeah, I heard from Dad too. Poor girls."
Namjoon blinked in surprise. "Wait—when was this? How did I miss it?"
"You were busy with your books, as usual," Jin teased.
"Ohhh." Namjoon groaned. "Of course."
Jin's gaze swept the crowd. "Yoongi didn't come today."
"Hyung," Namjoon reminded him gently, "Hana and Haarinaa are Yoongi's sisters. Don't you know that?"
Jin froze. "Oh. Right... I forgot."
"We've never met them, though," Namjoon admitted quietly.
"Who?" Hoseok asked absentmindedly.
"The Min girls," Jin clarified.
Hoseok chuckled. "Right. But you know how Yoongi is—always so protective of his sisters. And considering how all our maknaes are number one flirts, he probably doesn't want to take any risks."
The boys burst out laughing, the tension easing for a moment. Then the bell rang, pulling them back to their classes. Soon, the lecture halls filled again, and everyone focused on their studies.
In the Hospital
The sterile smell of antiseptic hung in the air, mixed with the faint beeping of monitors. Inside a quiet room, Yoongi sat between two hospital beds. His sisters, Hana and Haarinaa, lay unconscious, pale against the white sheets.
