Comic Store – Day 1 (after girls stopped coming)
The little bell above the comic store door jingles. Taehyung and Jungkook step inside, their eyes scanning the shelves.

Jungkook (muttering):
"They're not here again..."

Taehyung (checking around):
"Maybe they're late today. Let's wait a bit."

They sit near the back, pretending to read comics. An hour passes. The girls never show up.

Jungkook (sighing, closing the book):
"Tae... what if we never see them again?"

Taehyung (half-smiling but worried):
"Don't say that. They wouldn't just disappear without reason. Maybe school or family stuff."

Day 3 – Searching Outside
Tae and JK walk out of the store, backpacks on their shoulders.

Jungkook:
"We've waited three days. Nothing. Let's check nearby schools and colleges. Maybe they study around here."

They peek inside campuses, cafeterias, even parks where students usually hang out.

Taehyung (frustrated):
"Every face looks different. Not them. We don't even know their last names, Jungkook!"

Jungkook (kicking a pebble):
"Hyung... I didn't even ask for their numbers. I thought we'd have time. Now—"
(pauses, voice dropping)
"Now it feels like they slipped away."

Taehyung (placing a hand on his shoulder, softly):
"We'll find them. I don't care how long it takes."

Day 5 – Disappointment Growing
Back at the comic store, the shopkeeper notices them hanging around daily.

Shopkeeper (teasing):
"Still waiting for those two girls? You boys sure are loyal customers now."

Taehyung (forcing a laugh):
"Yeah... just loyal."

As soon as they step outside—

Jungkook (whispering, eyes low):
"Hyung... what if they already forgot about us?"

Taehyung (clenches jaw, determined):
"Then I'll make sure they remember when we meet again."

Day 7 – One Full Week
Jungkook and Taehyung sit outside the comic store on the curb.

Jungkook (quiet, staring at the ground):
"It's been a week, hyung. A whole week. Maybe... this is it."

Taehyung (looking at the sunset, voice firm but emotional):
"No. It's not the end. We'll meet them again. I don't know when, I don't know how... but I can feel it. We're not done."

Jungkook looks at him, half comforted, half heartbroken.
They both fall silent, the city noise filling the gap where the girls' laughter used to be.

The morning bell rang loudly, and the girls hurried out of their quarters.

Geetanjali (panting slightly):
"Naina, hurry up, we'll be late again!"

Naina (adjusting her bag):
"I'm coming! Ugh... these textbooks are so heavy..."

They rushed into the classroom, already filled with chatter. Most students spoke quickly in the native language. Naina and Geetanjali exchanged nervous glances. They understood... but not fluently.

The teacher wrote a long sentence on the board.

Teacher:
"Translate this and write it down. Ten minutes."

Naina bent over her notebook, whispering:
"What does this word mean again? I've seen it before but I don't remember."

Geetanjali (brows furrowed):
"Wait... is it 'history' or 'culture'? I think I messed it up yesterday too..."

The language barrier was like a wall—never too high to stop them, but always slowing them down. By the time they figured things out, half the class was already done.

At lunch break, the girls barely spoke, eating quickly before running to their training session with Mr. Min.

Mr. Min (strictly):
"You two are improving, but your timing is still slow. Again. From the top!"

Sweat dripped down their faces. Muscles ached. Homework piled up in their minds. Days blended into one another.

At night, in their room—

Naina (dropping onto her bed):
"I didn't even finish today's assignment... tomorrow is going to be worse."

Geetanjali (sighing):
"Forget it. We'll wake up early and finish. We don't have time to think of anything else..."

Geetanjali (rubbing her temples): "Naina, we have three essays due tomorrow, and I still don't understand this grammar rule."
Naina (sighing, flipping through her notebook): "Me neither. And the pronunciation drills... ugh, my tongue gets stuck every time."

They tried to laugh at their mistakes but mostly ended up frustrated. The language barrier felt like an invisible wall they had to climb every single day.

Evenings that once held painting, sketching, or simply listening to music were now swallowed by homework. Their sketchbooks gathered dust. The guitar leaned untouched in the corner.

Geetanjali (staring at her blank canvas): "Remember when we used to paint every weekend?"
Naina (closing her textbook tiredly): "Feels like another life..."

They didn't know two boys were searching for them every day, missing them. To the sisters, life had become only about adjusting, surviving, and proving themselves in a new world.
