After Walburga and Orion left Regulus and I alone, a re-joined the reception. I was instantly approached by my mother, who once again commented on how beautiful I looked in my wedding dress. I, on the other hand, just wanted to get out of it. It took revealing to a whole new level.

"Are you ready and excited for tonight, my dear?" She questioned.

"What do you mean?"

She laughed as if I said a funny joke, "Consummating the marriage of course! Don't tell me you'd forgotten! It's a tradition to seal the marriage!"

My mind was spinning. Consummation. Sealing the marriage. Sex; with Regulus

She continued talking, while I - still shocked and lost in my mind - found myself looking in Regulus' direction. He was conversing with a group of friends, including my second brother, Rabastan. They all wore black tux's, and underneath they were bound to also share the same black tattoo of a snake.

While Voldemort took blood purity to a whole new level, I was more than happy to keep my prejudiced opinions - hammered into me since childhood - to myself. I couldn't force them upon anyone else. Still, this was my life. So however much I may not like it, I had to accept it. For the good of the Lestrange's. And now the Black's.

After apparating from my family manor with Regulus, I found myself in front of yet another gorgeous house. My house. My home. Probably for the rest of my life. Despite it being night, I could make out the shaped hedges and well-kept gardens.

"It's..." I started, shocked.

"Smaller than you imagined?" He joked, a little hurt visible in his eyes.

"No!" I reassured him, "Bigger than I imagined. A lot bigger."

He placed my hand in the crook of his elbow, leading me inside. "One of the many manors belonging to the Black family. Now it's mine. Ours."

I stopped admiring the high ceilings, decorated with ornate designs and hanging chandeliers, to look at Regulus. I found he was already looking at me. His grey eyes drew me in, and before I knew it, the distance between us was lessening. His hand cupped my cheek, thumb rubbing my skin gently.

The eye contact we shared was a hidden dare. Who would look away first? Slowly, he leant down. A mere inch separating us from touching seemed unbearable - at least for me. Then reality hit me hard. I couldn't do this.

I cleared my throat, pulling away. It was hard, but I had to do it. For my sanity's sake. And for my heart's...

"Where am I sleeping?" I questioned, trying to ignore the fact that I almost kissed Regulus. Willingly. Never mind the fact that the man was my husband now...

"I'll show you." He begin walking up the staircase in front of us. Hurriedly, my legs began moving to catch up with him.
