. * ꙳ ✦ ⊹it had been a few weeks since Jack and Eliza first arrived at the new school. They'd gotten to know and befriend a few kids, but the most important people were April, Jerry, Milton, Eddie, and Kim. But right now, Eliza, Jack, Kim, and Milton peeked out behind a wall as thought they were spies.
They hastily got out of the weird position before looking around, as if they didn't want to be caught doing something. "Oh yeah. Waxy Wednesday." Jack had a small smirk on his lips as bent down and checked the school floor. "Where a plastic tray meets a freshly buffed floor and legends are born." He spoke with confidence as the three behind him grinned widely.
"Hey Guys!" Eddie entered suddenly. "I got the trays." He held the newly secured trays up. "Any problems getting by Marge the lunch lady?" Eliza turned to him. "Nope! She said they don't pay her enough to care." Eddie shrugged. "Guys, did we miss anything?" Jerry came tumbling down the steps along with April who walked slowly, and lazily down them with a subtle and unnoticeable smile on her face at Jerry's actions.
"Not yet." Kim shrugged her shoulders before flipping her hair behind them. "Shouldn't you both be in detention?.." Eliza asked as Jack looked over at her, slightly smiling. He'd always felt comfort by looking at her. "Oh yeah, for putting a tollbooth in the boys bathroom!" Jack suddenly remembered what he had to deal with third period when he had to go. "Yeah, why was April there?" Jack looked over at the blonde.
"I got money to make, kid." She responded in a tone as thought it was obvious. "Well, we should be in detention, but, when you sit me in the back and—" Jerry tried to explain before being cut off by April. "We escaped out the window." She simply said. She didn't even want to hear the stupidity he was about to spew. The others smiled. "Jack, your records about to be broken!" Milton threatened.
"Prepare for the new world champion, Milton 'The missle' Krupnick!" He shouted before pulling off the jacket he wore, revealing a tight purple shirt. "Woo!" He shouted before taking off his pants and revealing that it's a huge purple one piece. "Ew." Everyone else groaned and moaned at his actions. "God, you look like a grape." April's eyes widened at the sight before Jerry used his hand to cover her eyes.
"Oh look at this! I've walked into the middle of a loser-palooza!" A voice was heard. The group turned around to look for whoever it was. "What do you want, Truman?" Jack tried his hardest not to roll his eyes to the back of his head once he processed who it was. He protectively stood in front of Eliza as he slightly became defensive. "I thought I'd just hang out!" The blonde responded simply. "Do you have to do it here?" Jerry questioned with a disgusted look sitting on his face.
"It's a free hallway, Jerry!" He yelled back as Jerry rolled his eyes. "Well, if you'll excuse me, Truman, I've got a date with destiny!" Milton grinned in excitement. "That'll be your first date ever" He shot back before laughing intensely at his own joke. "Ha, Ha! Very funny! You're about to see my skid marks!" Milton spoke confidently as everyone looked over at him awkwardly. "Okay, I thought it would sound different when it came out.." He thought about what he'd just said for a moment.
His friends stifled their laughs at his actions before getting everything set up and ready. Kim ran to the end of the hallway. "All right! This garbage can marks Jack's record of 47 floor tiles!" She let everyone know quickly. Suddenly, Milton came barreling down the hallway, screaming with the small tray in his hands. But, to everyone's surprise, the poor kid ended up sliding straight past the garbage can and out the two doors. Everyone jumped back with their eyes widened as they watched Milton's wipe out. They all realized they needed to do something.
The group hurriedly ran his way to check on him. "He just shattered your record.." April spoke with a huge smile on her face. "And that papier-mache solar system outside the science room.." Eliza's eyes appeared as though they would pop out of her head. "It looks like somebody greased his tray!" Jack concluded as he'd felt awful for Milton. "Looks like!" Truman laughed at what went down in front of him. Then, Milton waddled into the hallway in absolute pain with balls that appeared to be part of the solar system project hanging around his neck. "Looks like Saturn is now lodged in the dark side of the moon" He spoke as he voice nearly cracked at the amount of pain he felt.
