Chapter 29

It was the time of the evening, the sun rays were on one side of Rathore mansion where Sameer was passing by the corridor. He did not meet Muskan because Muskan send him a message that she will be busy in a meeting and then her number was continuously going off. Sameer stopped to hear her father. Vijay was standing near the bed and Ambika was laying in a fowler position.

Vijay: Ambika, meri baat mano aur mere sath abroad chalo.

Sameer frowns.

Ambika: maine aap se kitni baar kaha hai ke mujhe kahin nahi jana. Main Sameer ko chor kar kahin nahi jaongi.

Vijay: Ambika, yeh kaisi zid hai? Ase to tumhari tabiyat aur bigarti jaegi.

Sameer frowned. He looked up and slowly he moved towards the room and stood outside the door. Vijay was standing in front of Ambika so they did not got to know about Sameer's presence.

Ambika: bigarti hai to bigre lekin main kahin nahi jaongi woh pehle hi akela hai aur agar hum kahin bhi chale gaye to phir woh kaise rahega. Aap to jante hain woh khane peene ke mamle main kitna laparwah hai.

Vijay: Dekho agar tum ase apni zid per ari rahi to main Sameer ko tumhari bimari ke bare main sab bata dunga.

Sameer was shocked.

Sameer in mind: Beemari?

Sameer looked down.

Ambika: aap asa kuch nahi karenge. Aap Sameer ko mere cancer ke bare main nahi bataenge.

This is it. Sameer widens his eyes in shock. He felt like the floor is slipped from under his feet. His heartbeat fastens. Sameer was shaking and tears filled in his eyes. Sameer stumbled and he collided with the door. Vijay turned and Ambika turned her face. They were shocked to see Sameer.

Ambika: Sameer.

Tears fall from Sameer's eyes and was standing by holding the door. He was looking down. Sameer looked at them. Ambika and Vijay looked at Sameer who was looking at them and crying.

Ambika got up.

Ambika: Sa, Sameer. dekh. beta...

Sameer came to her and hugged her. The trio were crying but Sameer was crying badly.

Ambika: ssshhhhh, bus bacha, shant ho ja. Kuch nahi howa hai mujhe.

Sameer was crying and Vijay caressed his shoulder and Ambika caressed his back. Sameer gulped and he broke the hug. Sameer squeezed his nose and was looking down. Ambika looked at him with teary eyes. Sameer looked at her.

Sameer asked and his voice cracked: yeh kab se?

Vijay: lagbhag aath (08) mahine.

Sameer was looking at Vijay and then he looked at Ambika.

Sameer: aur mujhe bataya bhi nahi? Kyun?

Ambika was speechless. She cupped Sameer's face.

Ambika: tu pehle hi bohat pareshan tha aur main apni beemari ka bata kar tujhse tera bacha kucha chain nahi cheenana chahti thi.

Sameer was crying and he again hugged her. Ambika got emotional.

Sameer was laying on the bed turning his side and his head was on Ambika's lap. She was caressing his hair. Sameer was lost in his thought. Ambika kissed his side head.

Ambika: zyada mat soch, doctor ne kaha hai ke mere cancer ka treatment ho sakta hai abhi second stage hai.

Sameer looked at her.

Sameer: sach?

Ambika nods.

Sameer: to phir aap ja kyun nahi rahi treatment ke liye.
