After their lunch, Julietta and Jaimee decided to take a short walk to look around town before heading toward their scheduled plan to go to the Villa Garden of D'Este.

As they walked down the narrow paths in alleys, the cobblestones of the street, and among the many people, they looked at every building in awe.  From the smallest bakery to the largest restaurants, and from the small church to the large church seen in the distance.

Watching in awe, Julietta couldn't help but blink in disbelief.  Even though they were in the 21st century, most parts of the town look as if time had stopped, and they were still in the past.  Hardly were their signs of new buildings and houses, all still having the same look as it must have been in the past.

"It's beautiful." Julietta breathed out.

They continued their walk until Jaimee had gotten them a small taxi to take them to where they had wanted to go.  To go to the place that brought them to Italy in the first place, the Tivoli Villa D'Este.

As they got in the taxi, both of them greeted the driver and Jaimee proceeded to tell him where they wanted to go.

With cameras in hand, they got off the taxi and paid their taxi driver, they slowly made their way towards the building.

The shutter sound of a camera brought Julietta out of her transfixed state of surprise.  Jaimee had been taking pictures while Julietta was standing still looking at the castle like villa.

"Are you sure we can go into this?" Julietta asked as she turned on her own camera and took a few pictures of the villa.

"It's open to the public to go in.  Let's go in." Jaimee began to walk away, heading towards the entrance.

The pictures she had seen did it no justice as she walked in through the entrance of the villa.  Following in after Jaimee, Julietta looked around the place.

Beautiful lively colors and paintings decorated the inside, paintings that seemed so realistic that they seemed that they would walk out at any moment ready to talk and tell every single thing they know of the villa and of the people who once lived there.

Julietta tilted her head up and saw the art on the ceiling, feeling as if the air were leaving her in shock at the size and beauty of the art, she looked back down to the paintings on the wall feeling mesmerized.

She felt that if she were to close her eyes among the hushed whispers of the other people there, that she would be able to see what the villa was like in the past.  To see the way the people who once lived here were like.  See them walk around in their beautiful clothing, hearing their talks, and laughter.  This place was clearly that of a royal or of someone of a high status in society, meaning that they likely had tea parties or dinners.  Imagining just the thought of being able to see that, Julietta felt as if her heart beat faster in anticipation to see the rest of the villa from the inside out.

By the time she came to a stop, she had nearly bumped into Jaimee who had stopped at a reception desk.

"Bongiorno." Both girls said as they greeted the girl on the other side of the desk.  Not understanding much of what was being said between Jaimee and the other young girl, Julietta decided to look around at what else she could see of the inside of the Villa.

Julietta felt that the carmine color in the paintings and wall was so vivid that it would even be visible at night.

Feeling a tug on her blue shirt sleeve, Julietta looked away from the walls and paintings in favor of the person tugging on her.

"Let's go." Jaimee said as she dropped her hand to her side.

"Go where?" Julietta asked as she followed after Jaimee as she walked on ahead slowly.

"We're going to see the outside of the Villa.  Don't forget that there's more to this Villa than just the building itself."

Both girls took in a sharp breath as they looked from right to left at all the greenery and large stone staircases.

"It's so beautiful, I've never seen something so ethereal, celestial." Julietta breathed out silently, feeling that if she had spoken more louder than a whisper she would have woken up from this dream.

As they walked, they took pictures of everything and of themselves, as well as videos.  They never wanted to forget going to such a place.  A place that seemed more like a garden of myth, rather than a villa in this world.

As Jaimee walked on ahead of her, Julietta placed her fingers on the stone handrails as she walked down the staircase, feeling the rough stone rub against the pads of her fingertips at each step she took down.

Julietta almost laughed to herself as she imagined herself in what she believed the villa would have been in its prime in the past.

Now trailing beside Jaimee walking around the water fountain and large bush shrubs, "Is this even in earth?" Jaimee laughed, "It feels like this place shouldn't belong in this world." Jaimee finished off as she admired her surroundings.

"It feels like it." Julietta responded as walked over to and peered down into the water of the fountain they had been nearby, "It feels like we shouldn't even be here to begin with.  I'm actually half expecting for some person from the past to just come out and start telling us to leave."  They both laughed at the thought.

They each continued taking pictures and videos of every single thing down to the small birds perched on the head of the statues.

Statues of various sizes were found all around the garden, all near a fountain and had a waterfall coming out from various places.  It might have been somewhat odd in some places, but that didn't change the fact that it was still beautiful.

This was a dream like place they would never forget.
