Sakusa and Atsumu who have dated back in high school broke up due to not having time for each other and also since they're long distance.
Sakusa graduated high school and got into college while Atsumu got into MSBY

Atsumu spots one of Adlers teammates, a.k.a his ex, a.k.a Sakusa Kiyoomi.
It's not him. Surely it isn't. Atsumu thinks but yet deep down, he knows full well that it's him.
Those luscious and soft looking curls, A mask always present as it covers half of his face, and those moles on his arms, neck and especially the twin moles on the right side of his forehead.
It's definitely him.
He just knows that he can see him perfectly from his view and it's him.
The one he's been trying to move on from for so long yet couldn't possibly do so. The one he still has hidden feelings from but doesn't dare to tell anybody. The one he /still/... loves.
"Hey Atsumu? You okay? You've been staring at one of the Adlers guy for a while now" Meian asks, "Oh nothin'.. He jus' seems familiar tha's all" Atsumu lies.
He's not familiar at all. He knows that guy. By heart, by mind, by instinct.
Of course, faith had to bring him here... But, Atsumu has to admit, he looks taller, better, prettier than before.
He couldn't possibly say that... He would never admit to it...
