Chapter 2

Atsumu gets why Sakusa would pick Adlers. He gets it.

As his eyes keep on staring at Kiyoomi at the other side of the court, one by one, he remembers many things that he and Kiyoomi had done together and how many times they held each other's pinkies until Kiyoomi started holding his hand.

He remembers every second they spent in their once-shared couch cuddling and being wrapped in blankets watching some random disney movie or documentary.

He also remembered the time they talked about their relationship. How he wanted to break up with him, with Kiyoomi.

He remembered the time they had this conversation and Kiyoomi said "What?" with a wobbly voice.

How much it hurt him to say those words. He wanted to say it was a measly prank but no it wasn't.

"Okay." was all Kiyoomi said after and Atsumu didn't expect one word. One fucking word to hurt him so much more than he was just a second ago.

Atsumu wanted to take it back. Take back what he said. Take it all back and be in Kiyoomi's arms once more, not letting go.

But he already did let go.

The call ended already before he could say anything.

Conclusion? Kiyoomi hates him.

Of course Kiyoomi would hate him, who wouldn't after what he did?

"Tsumu-san!" Hinata shouted and Atsumu snapped back to reality. "Oh sorry, wha' were we doin' again?"

"Atsumu, If you keep spacing out like that so suddenly, you'll be benched" "Okay- jeez sorry cap'n" Atsumu nervously laughed, and it was obvious that something was wrong, but they didn't even try to make Atsumu pry.

Atsumu hated it when they started playing.

He hated how close he was to Kiyoomi, only a net right in their faces dividing them. How Kiyoomi didn't even dare to look at him even when they were just one to two meters away from each other.

But what was he supposed to do? He can't even strike up a conversation with the other team without looking like a jackass and he couldn't possibly talk to Sakusa without making things awkward due to their past together.
