Filler Chapter

Pha and the boys stopped in their tracks when they saw the amount of blood on Beam and panicked when he fainted.

Pha ran to him first and scooped him up in his arms. "Beam! Beam!!" But nothing. Beam had completely passed out.

He was rushed to the same hospital as Kong but was in the general ward as opposed to Kong who was undergoing some minor surgery. Kong's parents had been informed and they were on the way.

So were Beam's mom and that psycho girl Nia's too. There was an uproar at the hospital when Beam's mother jumped on Nia's parents. She was pissed that anyone would have attempted this on her baby.

It came to light that Nia was trying to take revenge on Kong by trying to hurt Beam. But it backfired when Beam ducked but it hit Kong instead and it ended up being a mess. Nia was pissed with Kong for taking Beam's side and not wanting to help her. Kong's parents were very worried for their son but more so, they were as worried for Beam.

Beam's mother was taken aback by their concern and that's when it came to light on how Beam has been spending his 2 consecutive weekends in a row on top of classes and assignments, being there for Kong.

Beam's mother looked quizzically at Kong's mum. "Is my son dating your son?"

"They aren't."

"Then why would my son do this?"

"He said its for a friend."

"You believe that?"

"I'm a mother Lien, I can tell when it's friendship or more."

Lien smiled at Kong's mother. "I like you already. But you seem so quiet and soft. Is your son anything like that? My Beam isn't that."

"You be surprised at the kind of behavior my son brings out in yours. But its all for the good. You seem rough but a good person. I'm glad my son likes your Beam."

Lien just smiled at her. Kong's father came back, ashy faced having spoken to the doctor. He collasped on the chair and everyone flocked to him. His wife was especially worried for his condition too.

Kong's father highlighted that the doctor said it was a hit to Kong's right hand side of the head. However, given that it had swung through the passenger window, the impact wasn't that hard. But recovery and whether he would wake up was questionable; very very questionable.

Kong's mother collasped on the chair hearing this. Lien stood with her and tried to comfort her but her heart was in a whirlpool itself. Imagine if this had happened to Beam. Lien shuddered.

And who was going to tell her boy on Kong's condition?

Just then, Beam's doctor gave the heads up that Beam was awake. Ah fuck. He is going to ask about Kong.

Lien and Kong's parents made their way to go see Beam. Lien went in and before she could say anything, Kong's mom fussed and fawned over Beam. She rushed up to him and checked on him. Lien was this close to putting her in her place when Beam asked about Kong.

Jsut then Kong's father answered, "He's fine dear. Just some minor surgery. You need to rest well and be better for him ok? Are you ok? Look who's here."

And Kong's father turned to let Lien walk through whilst Kong's mother took a step back too to let Beam have a moment with his mother. Both parents didn't breathe a word about Kong's actual condition and pretended everything was ok.

Lien fussed over her child for a bit before sitting down and she took the bullet by letting Beam know about Kong's actual condition. Its the least she could do for a family that was hiding its own pain jsut for her son.

And that's when Lien herself got surprised. Beam got down from the bed and hugged Kong's mother softly, who had started sobbing. He assured her that Kong will be ok. He checked on Kong's father, making sure he was completely fine.

Lien just watched, wondering who was this gentle fellow in front of her, that was supposedly her son.
