Loralie's P.O.V.-

My eyes were heavy, but I kept them open as I watched the sun rise through the window and spill onto the floor. The large house was quiet, and helped keep my headache to a minimum. I kept my fingers intertwined on my stomach as I sighed and watched the small specks float through the sunlight.

The shuffling of feet told me he had finally awoken, and I looked over at the clock on the wall. 9;40. I had been awake since 4, it's hard to sleep when you can feel your organs practically shutting down.  Another surge of pain caused me to bit my tongue as I groaned to myself. The pain subsided and I laid down again breathing heavily.

"Still alive." I opened my eyes and looked over towards the doorway, Klaus stood with his hands in his pockets. His hair was wet, he must have just taken a shower. He wore a t-shirt and jeans, nothing special. I raised an eyebrow and looked away weakly.

My eyes closed and I breathed through my mouth, as he walked into the room eyeing me. "What, no smart remark love?" He asked standing in front of me. I ignored him and turned my head towards the inside of the couch so I could avoid looking at him.

He eyed me and I finally gave in. "Why not just throw me out into the streets to die, Unless you want a girl to die on your couch..or you could just give me the damn cure" I mumbled. He smirked, "No, Love. I don't throw you out because I believe it would be quite enjoyable to watch my own work fulfill itself. And, the cure must be taken in blood, and.." He looked around sarcastically "I don't see any blood." He said sitting on the table again.

I turned my head to look at him. "You are willing to watch a teenage girl, die on your couch.." I said before laughing once. "I fail to see the humor in that." He replied with a blank expression. "I just find it humorous how far gone you are."

I opened my eyes and gazed at him, his anger showing as he bit his tongue. "I suggest you die in silence, I hate noise." He said coldly. He stood up to leave, "I mean, what could you have possibly gone through to make you so evil and hateful?" I said causing him to pause. He turned to look at me, "What I've gone through, you couldn't even imagine." He practically hissed.

"Try me." I replied coldly. He turned his head away as he thought before turning his eyes to me in a look of interest. "When one has lost their life, only to live an immortal eternity filled with watching the ones you love die, It's not enjoyable. With each kill you think it becomes easier but it only builds up into a bomb that will sooner or later go off, leaving you alone with no humanity and only a hatred for the world." He began walking over to me, stepping closer with each word as his voice rose.

"An eternity that is filled with death, betrayal, and pain that can only be stopped by a stake. When you get to a point where you are far beyond forgiveness all you can do is continue down the path you've set for yourself. I'm not like other vampires, nothing like your little Damon." His voice was high, but not quite at a yell. He was stepping closer and closer, getting angrier and angier.

"I'm evil because that's just who I am, that's what i've learned to do. So, forgive me if I find a bit of death and pain enjoyable because there has to be something in life I can find fulfilling. Something I can actually live for!" His last few words echoed in the house as he practically screamed them, now inches in front of me, he leaned down so he was centimeters from my face. His blue eyes cold with hate.

"You think you can't be forgiven.." I mumbled. His expression stayed cold as his eyes searched me face for emotion. "You aren't willing to be forgiven." I whispered, my voice weak and breaking. "Because with being forgiven, comes the fear of going back to the way you are now." I added, my eyes teary as I realized how close I was to actually dieing..

He strained to keep a cold look as he locked eyes with me. "I fear nothing." He whispered. "Except for being alone.." I mumbled. "When you've been alone for centuries like I have, it becomes a lifestyle." He whispered before leaning up and looking away from me.

"Try to die quietly." He said before turning and walking out of the room.

Stefan's P.O.V.-

"It's been a day." Caroline said nervously sippign her coffee. "Calm down," I said quietly. "Klaus is stubborn." I added placing a hand on her shoulder as she sat down on the couch. "He's not going to give in, Loralie is just as stubborn as him, if not more. They are just going to clash, The only thing that's going to happen is a nucleur war." She said quickly.

"Loralie's smart, she knows she need to do anything possible to get this cure. She will do anything." I said sipping my own coffee.

"If she's smart, she won't play with his emotions," She said. I slowly set my cup down on the counter, letting the soft clinking cound fill my ears as it hit the counter. "What do you mean..?" I asked eyeing her.

She slowly lowered her cup from her lips, "I mean, she won't bring up his anger or anything, it will most likely only make him want her dead more." She said with a confused look. I narrowed y eyes, "Well,." I mumbled. "That's probably exactly what she's going to do." I whispered to myself.
