The price of adoration

Events in Piltover were something. They really, really were. That doesn't necessarily mean they were good, but they were, indeed, something.

I find it pertinent to mention this, simply considering the fact that one of those events was taking place tonight. Some violin show, for the stuck up adults that had forgotten how to party, and reflected their problems and insecurities in the lyricless classical music they went there to listen.

I also allow myself to find it pertinent to mention this, considering that all the adults were going to be hived up together in a building listening to music. To some, that would just be a stupid fun fact. To you, it was an opportunity. Because while events in piltover were something; your events in Piltover, those were something else.

You wanted it to be something private, you didn't even want to call it a party, that's how private you wanted it to be. Sophia was on board with this, but she slipped and told her mom about the event they were having at her house. That's the thing about Piltover, it wasn't a small town, but gossip flew. Next thing you knew, all the adults were informed that the one and only Y/N L/N, counselor Medarda's adoptive daughter, was throwing a party at lieutenant Zaavar's house.

Part of you wishes you could say that the parents were forcing the kids to go. Your perfect, twisted little mind would have probably seen that as twice as many adoration points for you. But you know that's not true, you know the kids are coming to your party out of their own desire.

"Do you think he'll be there?" Asked Sophia as she curled the last pieces of her beautiful blonde hair.

"Um, Duh. The real question is are you actually going to fuck him this time?" You retort while putting on mascara.

She sighs. "Bitch, you know that's not up to me. He's still not over his ex, fucking idiot."

You give her a second of silence to relish in her fantasy before you speak again. "I'm telling you Soph, if he doesn't shape up I'm down for anything with you. I'll leave that kitty vibrating until Progress Day of next year."

She gets up and walks over to you. She grabs your face with a serious expression...and slaps it. You slap her back as laughter fills the room. This girl really is your soulmate.

----

She leaves your house at around six PM. everything's all ready for the party but her and Isadora inherited their parents paranoia for all of their events to be perfect. They wanted to stock up on drinks or whatever they said they were going to do.

Either way, that works for you. It always works for you. You leave the penthouse by foot, you know very well that Mel is going to question this next time you see her, and you already have a perfectly sensical excuse for it ready in your head.

You reach Silco's lair later than you expected. It's already dark when you walk out with two thousand hexes in your pocket.

There's a beauty to be undercity, which you've learned to admire through all the nights you've walked it. The darkness that beams throughout the whole place, almost like it's replacing the light, gives you an eerie sense of peace. You would have been able to enjoy it, if you hadn't heard the familiar sound of grunting coming from the alley next to you. Sevika.

You had grown close to Sevika, closer than you had expected, you felt a strange sense of debt when it came to her. She had done a lot for you, but then again everyone had. There was just, something about her.

Your snapped out of your thoughts when you reach the alley and see Sevika getting beat up by some tattooed redhead.

You try to stay serious, you really do. Needless to say, you can't. "Sevika, really? We've talked about getting beat up, it's not ladylike." You say dramatically.
