You're a dimwit. Disgusting. Stupid. It was your fault. For letting your guard down, for prioritizing her pleasure over yours. For letting her see you naked without getting anything in return, for letting her see you whimper and ride her for an orgasm that never fucking came. You never came. You've been doing this for years, but this genuinely is the first time you've come to terms with the fact that all you are, is a slut.

You are disgusting; but you most certainly don't look it. You spent almost no time in that bathroom, mixing moisturizer with tears. Caitlyn didn't have any makeup which came as no surprise; what you were surprised by was the fact that after doing practically nothing to yourself, you looked...perfect.

Maybe it was the leftover arousal, or maybe you had finally started seeing yourself from everybody else's eyes. There was something about the red lingering on your cheeks, the glimmer from the sweat making your entire face glow, your damp hair hanging loosely over your shoulders, that made you seem almost angelical. You didn't want to see it, but it truly gave sense to the nickname 'angel-face'.

Tears were shy, but they came out. They took their time to hurt. It's like you had shimmer dripping from your eyes, it burned to cry.

You thought to go to Mel, tell her everything. Own up to it and let her hate you, yell at you, hit you, whatever she wanted to do to you. You deserved it.

Tragic thoughts polluted your perfect mind, enough for you to skip the meeting with Mel and just go straight home. But fate is unforgiving, cruel. Mel was waiting for you when you arrived at your apartment.

"Y/N I am going to kill you." Fuck. She knows.

You giggled as you closed the door behind you. "Hiii...love of my life what are you doing he-"

"Don't change the subject!" She stood up and walked over to stand in front of you, like a gust of wind. She definitely knew. How did she find out? She looked down at you with anger and...wait, that's not anger. Is that...worry?

You didn't get a chance to finish your train of thought before she pulled you in for a hug. "You almost gave me a heart attack you fucking fool." She whispered. She let you go before she kept on talking. "Where did you go?! My heart has been in my hand since Zaavar told me you disappeared from the party, and then I get a message from Kiramann saying you were in the damn Undercity? Are you absolutely insane?!"

Holy shit. She doesn't know.

"I- I tried getting to you any way that I could but I got...kidnapped I guess?"

She looked at you, shock beaming from her eyes, wide open, desperate for answers. But she didn't push you further. Instead, she hugged you more, even tighter than before. "If you ever leave, I die kid. That's a promise and a warning." She whispered against your head.

You talked for a long time. You liked talking to her but, that lingering feeling of pain in your stomach, it didn't let you listen to half of the things she was saying.

You did catch it when she told you she had a meeting with the council that night, to discuss the possibility of negotiating with the Undercity.

"Shit Mel, that's...heavy. is Caitlyn gonna be there?" You questioned.

"The enforcer, yes. She has a friend from the Undercity she's gonna bring, maybe for first hand knowledge or-...did you just say...Caitlyn?"

You looked at her confused. "Yeah, Kiramann's daughter."

"How do you know that?" She started pushing. Fuck.

"I-um, I met her at that party all those yea-"

"You know that is not what I mean." She lost the comfortable position she usually had while talking to you, replacing it for a stiff one. Sat straight, shoulders back. "How do you know she's coming tonight?"
