Chapter 12

*Sabrina's POV*

"Thank you." I said to the lady at the Apple Store.

"No problem. Have a nice day." I walked out of the Apple Store with my new iPhone 6 plus.

I'm glad they could've given me a new one. I walked to my car and got in calling Ronnie. I was calling him to see what time we were leaving. He answered after about 3 rings.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Hey babe. I'm headed back from the Apple Store." I told him turning at the light.

"Okay. They are already open if you want to go now." He said into the phone.

"That's fine. It's up to you." I said shrugging my shoulders even tho he couldn't see me.

"Yeah. Let's go when you get back so we can get on as many rides as possible." I smiled from ear to ear.

"Okay babe. Il be there in about 10-15 minutes." I hung up the phone and paid attention to the road.

I was passing by a Starbucks and I was really tempted but I couldn't. I was trying to cut down how much I go to Starbucks because I go a lot. I passed by it and turned at the stop sign.

After a few more left turns and right turns, I was home. I parked my car and got out. I checked the mail because I was expecting something. I looked in and there they were. The 2 Jordan phone cases I ordered. I grabbed them and headed inside. It was completely silent. I mean I was used to it but never this silent.

"Mom!" I called out.

"In here honey!" She called from her room. I walked to her room which was right across from the kitchen.

"Why is it so quiet?" I asked her peeping my head through her door.

"Umm, it's always this quiet. But maybe because the kids left." She told me.

"Ohh," I but my lip and looked down. "Well, me and Ronnie are going to be out for the day so I'll let you know when we come back." I told her.

"Okay. I'm gonna go out with a friend later. So if I'm not home then you can have Ronnie come over." She told me like he could never come over.

"Okay." I walked out and walked into my room.

My mom isn't old. She is 37 turning 38 in September. She had me when she was 19. I didn't know she was seeing anyone. Hopefully I will get to meet this someone soon.

I opened the Manila package and pulled out the two cases that were in there. I ordered these Jordan's shoe cases but the design was supposed to be the bottom of a Jordan shoe. It was cute so I bought it. I bought a black and red one for Ronnie and a pink and white one for me. I put my case on and waited for Ronnie.

"Mom! I'm leaving!" I yelled to her room.

"Okay honey! Have fun! Be safe!" She yelled back.

I walked outside to see Ronnie leaning on the front of his car. I smiled and walked over to him.

"Hey babe." He said looking down at me as his hands wrapped around my waist.

"Hey babe," I held onto the sides of his shirt. I stood on my tippy toes and kissed his lips. "I've got something for you." I reached under my shirt in the back and pulled out the Manila package that the phone cases came in.

"What's this?" He asked.

"Open it." I demanded and he did as told. He opened the package and pulled out the case.
