Mitsuri POV:
"I'm so excited for our mission together Iguro San!" I said to him excitedly, "I wonder what will happen between us?!"
"Nothing," he said, "we'll finish the mission and come back as fast as we can."
Damn, he's become cold...
"I want to meet Y/N as fast as humanly possible," he continued
"Why would you want to meet Y/N?" I asked
I already knew the answer to that question but no harm in asking...
"Because we're dating," he said...
Oh well I didn't expect him to answer that so quickly...

Obanai POV:
I know Y/N and I were gonna tell the others later but that slipped out of my mouth...
But I feel more confident now that I've told Mitsuri I'm with another woman. I no longer love her. I do miss the relationship we had though but she made it clear she didn't like me back. I did EVERYTHING for her. I dropped whatever I was doing for her. She called me her friend many times before but when she said I was like a brother to her was my breaking point. All of that sadness I had felt over the years built up and eventually, I couldn't take it. I cried silently on our mission so Y/N wouldn't be notice me. But some of that sadness I had felt turned into anger and I took it all out on Y/N. I feel terrible for being harsh to others but if they get too close I'm sacred they might use me. Especially women...

So here's a manga spoiler:
Due to Obanai's past, he was used and mistreated by women so he has gynophobia which is the fear of women. It's not exactly the way I'm describing it but it is similar

°°Continuing Obanai's POV°°
The only women who I've never felt scared of are Mitsuri and
Y/N...
Especially Y/N, I trust with everything I have...
Over the course of a month, she has really won my heart...
As I drifted into thought, I heard Mitsuri scream my name
"Iguro San watch out!"
I felt someone grab me and pulled me away from a tree branch that almost hit my head.
"AHH! DEMON!" I shouted
I tried to grab my sword but I had dropped it so I instinctively turned around and slapped whoever grabbed me...
It turned out to be Mitsuri who I had slapped and she let out a squeal
"EEEEK! WHY DID YOU HIT ME?!"
Oh shit! I just messed up!
"I'M SO SORRY! I THOUGHT YOU WERE A DEMON!"
"That was a close one! Dammit!" she exclaimed, "watch where you're going and try not to slap me in the face next time!"
"YES! I'M SO SORRY!"
She rubbed her face and sighed...
"What were you even thinking about?" she asked
"Nothing..." I said
"You were thinking about Y/N weren't you?" she asked visibly annoyed
"Maybe..." I said with an awkward laugh...
"We need to focus on the mission!" she said

Mitsuri POV:
Yeah okay, I'm giving up trying to win over Iguro San...
It's hopeless...

°°TIMESKIP°°

Obanai POV:
Once Mitsuri and I reached the village we split up to ask the villagers if they had seen anything suspicious. I asked a group of farmers who lived in the center of the village but they were too traumatized to answer. Apparently they had reported to seeing something huge in a bush and had never been the same again. I continued searching and asking people about the demon when I got a notification from Mitsuri. She had sent me her location. Did she find the demon? I rushed over to her

2 MINUTES LATER

Obanai POV:
Once I found Mitsuri, I saw a pile of demon's on the ground who were crumbling away while Mitsuri was fighting two demons at once. "Do you need help?" I asked but by the time I was done talking she already decapitated both demon's without breaking a sweat.
"Those demon's were really weak. There might me more on their way," she said looking around.
I also began to look around and drew my sword out...
One demon pounced out of nowhere but I cut it up immediately
Two attacked Mitsuri but she swiftly dodged
"Love Breathing, Second Form! Love Pangs!"
Mitsuri sliced up the demon's heads and took down the roofs of a few houses along with her
Seven more demons jumped out of the forest and four lunged at me.
"Serpent Breathing, Fourth Form! Twin Headed Reptile!"
I slashed up 3 demons into pieces while Mitsuri used her First Form to cut up the others
A few more demons tried to get me from behind but I turned around and decapitated them without using a breathing form.
"Is that all?" I asked her,
"Maybe," she said...

Mitsuri POV:
"You think that's all?" snickered a voice from behind us...
We turned around to see a Lower Moon...
Lower Moon 1...
She was quite short and had beautiful golden eyes...
She had a shade of royal blue skin and wore a red suit without a tie...
She had a slightly deep voice and smooth, red hair that flowed down to her shoulders and bangs that fell over her forehead...
She had a charming smile but there was evil engraved all over her face...
Had she been there the whole time?
"Those demons were just pawns," she giggled, "useless ones at that!"
"Who the hell are you?!" asked Obanai
"Oh! I haven't introduced myself? My name is Amaya and I'm Lower Moon 1."
"Tsk, you're annoyingly smug! I wanna kill you so badly!" muttered Obanai
"I wouldn't want to hurt you," said the demon with a smirk, "it would be a shame to ruin such beauty!"
Why does everyone flirt with Iguro San?!
"I have a girlfriend," he said firmly
"Then I guess I'll just have to kill her first," purred Amaya looking at me...
"I'm not his girlfriend!" I shouted
She just giggled like a creep and jumped up in the air
"Where'd she go?" asked Obanai
"I'm heeere~" laughed Amaya appearing behind Obanai and holding his face
"Get away from me you creep!"
He transferred his weight to his left foot and moved back to create an opening to attack the demon
"Serpent Breathing, Second Form! Venom Fangs of The Narrow Head!"
Obanai tried to cut Amaya's head off but she dodged fairly effortlessly
"Oh ho ho! You're quick huh?" complimented Amaya

Obanai POV:
Ugh, this demon is such a weirdo. But she's so strong that it's tough to believe she's only a Lower Moon...
"I'm just a Lower Moon but I honestly think I should be an Upper Moon. Our Master has never really been a fan of me!"
Ah, that's nice! We're fighting an Upper Moon!
"Blood Demon Art, Speedblitz," murmured Amaya as she flashsteped over to Mitsuri and tried to chop off her arms using a kunai...

Mitsuri POV:
I was so focused on thinking about the demon that I didn't even realise when she tried to cut my arms off...
I squealed and jumped away from her...
"Tsk, your also quick..." she said disappointedly...
"Serpent Breathing, First Form!" began Obanai as he attacked Amaya from behind...
However, she  just chuckled and grabbed his leg and threw him towards the ground. Luckily, I caught him before he fell and used my sixth form to try and kill Amaya from far away. My blade extended and sunk into her left arm but she ripped her own arm off and regenerated it...
She maniacally laughed and clenched her fists...

Obanai POV:
Dammit! She's just toying with us. She's a Lower Moon and she's not even taking two hashira seriously! I ran towards her and used my fifth form to let out a barrage of attacks at her. A landed a few hits but she simply used her blood demon art to move away and regenerated. "You're so strong, may I get your name ?"
"Obanai, Iguro Obanai!" I said and I backed away from her
She howled of laughter, "What a nice name you have!"
She's definitely not okay...
"Become a demon Iguro and we can fight together for centuries! You're so talented, become a demon!"
A demon?
She wants me to become a demon...?
