Shes Not a Monster, Just Special

New School *Chapter 1*

In this story Koneko is a half cat demon and half human. Her mother is a cat demon and her father is human. She has two younger sisters, Ayame and Hanako, who are twins that are also half demons and the youngest sister, Suzu, is human.

"Koneko, I'll be going out for the day. Can you watch your mom since she's pregnant and your sisters while I'm gone?" My father asked me, his eight year old half demon daughter. I nodded my head as he walked out the door. A few hours later a strange man walked in with a knife. He keep yelling at mommy calling her a MONSTER while she screamed at me and my two sisters to run and hide. I pushed my sisters into a room and made them lock the door. I ran back to my mom to see her on the ground with a deep cut in her shoulder. The man charged at me and I flinched yet when I opened my eyes my daddy had a stick in his hand. I think he hit the strange man. He dropped the stick and kneeled beside mommy. He picked her up with tears in his eyes. Tears began to fall from my eyes as well. My daddy called the cops and they took away the bad man. My sisters came out of the room. They were only four years old so they didn't know what was going on. I watched as two men put my mom into an ambulance. I slowly reach out to my dad, who was standing next to me, to hold his hand. Yet when I did so, he moved his hand. I looked up at him.

"Daddy will mommy be ok?" I cried to him. He turned towards me and raised his hand and then

*SLAP*

He slapped me right across the face. I looked down to the ground I started crying. "If you had just listened to me and stayed with your mom this wouldn't have happened! You were supposed to take care of her for me!" He yelled at me with anger in his eyes.

"I'm s-sorry daddy." I wimped in a reply. His eyes widened at me and he pulled me close to him.

"I'm sorry Hanako. Please forgive me. I'm just scared of what will happen." He held me tight and started as the ambulance drove of. We went to the hospital to visit mommy later. The doctor walked towards us with a baby in his hand and he began talking.

"Her water broke in the ambulance and she ended up giving birth. It's a girl and she's human." The doctor looked at me and handed my new baby sister to my dad. "Um there's one more thing" the doctor leaned in and whispered into his ear so me and my sisters couldn't hear. My dad looked at the door the doctor came out of and began to cry again. At the time I didn't know why.

*One week later*

"Daddy, why can't I see mommy anymore?" I asked with tears in my eyes. I was staring at a closed coffin surrounded by flowers. My dad, my two younger sister who were twins, Ayame and Hanako, my new baby sister Suzu, and I walked away from my mom inside of the coffin and we were never aloud to visit her again.
