Chapter 7
Friends
I cleared my throat and awkwardly smiled at Trisha.
“Uhm, I’m not his girl,” I told her that made her lips formed “O”.
“Oh, sorry, I thought... I'm really sorry,” she awkwardly smiled and bit her lower lip.
Jake butt in. “Pero mukhang bagay naman sila, no?”
I looked at him with brows furrowed that made him stopped from laughing.
We were silently walking along the corridor when Jake suddenly broke that silence.
“Pre, sasali kana ba sa basketball ngayon? Lapit na rin magsimula training, eh.”
“Siguro. Okay na rin ako, eh. Besides, Tricia's here so I have the strength now,”
I made a face and even rolled my eyes in disgust. Ang corny naman.
“Sabi na eh! Umuwi na kasi ang cheerleader kaya ganado!” Jake teased even more that made Tricia blushed. Nakakakilig na 'yon?
Lucas scoffed and even made a fake cough to broke whatever shitty atmosphere surrounds us.
“Epal,” Rey murmured.
I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling. I just can't help but to be amazed by what Lucas did.
We parted ways with Rey and Tricia since ihahatid niya pa raw sa room.
As days goes by, it became my daily routine. Sometimes, Lucas would offer a ride home and I don't hesitate to accept it, especially if it's raining.
Jake opened that topic again as we fix our things for lunch break.
“Mamaya ko palang sasabihin. Sino ba bagong captain?” Rey asked.
“Si Gio. Pero kung babalik ka, panigurado ikaw ulit Captain,” Jake teased him and Rey just scoffed.
“Tara na, gutom na ko,” I suddenly said since I don't understand their topic.
“Susunduin niya na naman yata nililigawan niya HAHAHAHA kadiri,” Jake even made a disgusting face.
“Why don't you guys find yourself a girl so you won't get bitter by Rey's relationship?” I asked them as we walk along the corridor.
I heard Lucas scoffed. “Not interested,”
I laughed. “Talaga lang ha,”
