Chapter

Suspicious

“Jellieza!” Lucas shaked me that made me went back to reality.

The fuck?!

“Gising na, lapit na next class oh,”

We were in our room. Not in the field. Nakatulog pala ako after ng lunch namin.

I asked them and they both looked at me with brows furrowed.

You forgot?” Lucas asked.

I just shook my head. Was that really a dream?

Jake asked.

I looked at them. “Nothing happened in the field?”

“You collapsed.

Huh? Bakit hindi ko ’yon maalala?

“Anong nangyari sa’yo kanina, Jel?” Jake asked. Matagal bago ako umiling.

Maski ako hindi ko alam. Pero klaro yung nakita ko.

It's him.

Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali. Siyang siya 'yon. Pero paano?

“Tila na ang ulan. Tara na?” Lucas spoke.

“Pahatid,” I told him and he nodded.

“Can you please tell me what happened earlier?” hindi ko na napigilang magtanong sa kanya.

“Before you collapsed, you were staring at the fence. Pero wala naman kaming nakitang tao. You were crying, your skin were cold, and your lips were even pale. Buti nasalo kita kanina bago ka tuluyang natumba,” he told me.

“Thank you... for this day,” I smiled genuinely at him. He nodded so it's my cue to close the door.

My brows furrowed. “Sabado bukas,”

His lips formed “O”.

He nodded so I smiled at him again and waved my hand. How was that even possible?

“Ate,” Aki said that made me went back to reality.

“Bakit?”

She handed me a letter. It's an invitation from her classmate's sister.
