"I'm bored." FrostLight started managing to sprawl himself on the golden cloud of sand on which the three time travellers sat upon.

"Take a nap then." Pitch pointed out, his eyes trailing the wisps of golden sand that weaved about, occasionally touching a couple of strands and corrupting them into nightmare sand. Not much but enough to turn a dream into a nightmare that would cause mild discomfort to whoever would receive it. It had been an agreement between the dreamweavers as an attempt to keep the fearlings under control.

FrostLight sat up straight at that, giving the shade a 'are you serious?' look but stayed silent as he crossed his arms with a frown.

"What?" The shade asked, an eyebrow raised at the younger immortal.

"I can't sleep." The child said simply with a huff.

Pitch blinked then frowned slightly in confusion. "Of course you can. Simply lay down, close your eyes, and Sanderson will give you a dream."

To that the golden dreamweaver started laughing his silent laugh and shaking his head, turning to look at the shade with an amused expression on his face before wagging his finger at the shade in a 'tsk tsk' motion.

The surprised and dumbfounded look on the Nightmare King's face made the child of light next to him snort lightly in amusement and caused the Sandman to laugh once again.

"What is so funny?" Pitch finally demanded having had enough of not knowing what made them laugh.

:Pitch, you're asking a Nightlight to go to sleep.: Sandy signed with his sand above his head as he wiped away a forming tear of mirth at the furthermore confused expression on the Boogeyman's face.

"So? Your dream sand should be more than enough to put him to sleep, can't it?" Sandy just shook his head more and tried (and failed) to hold back giggles.

"Pitch, Nightlights are physically incapable of falling asleep." FrostLight said, calming down from his bout of laughter.

The Boogeyman blinked then stared at the child in absolute confusion. "But you were asleep. For over fifteen hundred thousand years. In my heart. " He tried to reason, causing the spectral boy to laugh so hard he almost fell off the cloud.

:That's a stellar coma induced via Supernova!: Sandy chuckled lightly, forming a chart from his dream sand to show Pitch. :It's a coma that sentient stars such as dear FrostLight and many shooting stars and their pilots, like myself, enter in order to preserve as much energy as they can after a supernova or an event that severely and very quickly depletes their energy reserves: the images on the chart seemed to move as different stars were depicted entering a dormant state before reverting back.

"But you sleep all the time!" Pitch argued. "So why can't he?" He gestured towards the now calming boy.

Sandy shrugged. :I'm just a pilot, he's an actual star.:

"But- you- you said you enter that kind of coma too!" Pitch exclaimed, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Sandy rolled his eyes and sent a smirk to the child of light as if to say 'can you believe this guy?' Instantly making him burst out laughing once again. :Stars don't sleep, but I'm not a star, I'm like you, and therefore still sleep.:

With a deep groan, Pitch laid down on the cloud of gold and ran his hands over his face. "You and your star talk gives me headaches..."

"Celestial Science is quite advanced, especially the part about sentient stars." FrostLight added, coming to sit besides Pitch.

The shade grumbled turning away from the boy, seemingly annoyed before a blanket of dream sand was carefully laid on top of him, making the shade look up to the once star captain.

:it might be easier to show you in a dream.: Sandy said, a gentle smile plastered onto his face.

"And besides, you do look like you need that nap more than me." FrostLight added, beaming brightly at the Boogeyman who started to look unsure.

"...but what if the fearlings-" He started only to get cut off by a finger to the mouth that shushed him instantly.

"Don't worry so much, Pitch. Me and Sandy will keep an eye out. You just rest." FrostLight insisted, offering the shade a gentle smile as he drew back and sat right next to him, patting a pillow that had formed from the dream sand.

Reluctantly, Pitch sighed and closed his eyes as he laid down. But he had yet to give into sleep, being too nervous to do so with the thought of fearlings running around without him to keep them in check.

A gentle hand ran through his hair, making him crack an eye to see FrostLight smiling down gently at him just before drowsiness hit him, no doubt the Sandman's doing.

"Starlight, bright light.

Sweet dreams we bestow.

Sleep tight, all night.

Forever, we will glow."

It didn't take long for the darkness to take hold of Pitch and soon he was in a dream, conjured by Sandy to help him understand the subject of celestial science.

yes, yes I did modify Nightlight's lullaby so it would also fit Sandy in there because he too glows and gives sweet dreams.
