Short-haired Cale: I trust my own heart

Long-haired Cale: I thrust my own heart (With a stick)

I've finally finished the book 1 and the side stories!! I've already catch up with book 2. I might reread it if I have time cause I'm a fast reader that makes me ignore details that might be important. But I'm becoming more and more busy everyday, sigh. I hope you're all well!

In a secluded place with no people, 3 people that consist of 2 child and 1 young adult face each other.

"So, can you tell me who the hell are you to impersonate my brother's appearance?" Klyden asked with a friendly smile, though his eyes says opposite. His pitched voice didn't match with his sentence well but his eyes are clear enough for the other party to be threatened.

"Me? Brother, what are you talking ab-" 'Cale' tried to defend himself but Klyden just interrupted him.

"There's no use trying. I live with Cale long enough to know how many times he breath everyday. But I'm curious. Why would you take a risk to impersonate him when you know you can get in trouble once we've arrive in the manor later?" Klyden asked. Even the confused Luticia just shut her mouth. She didn't noticed the difference between this fake young master Cale to the real one.

Normally, Klyden would take the stealthiest method and take care of this person first before interrogating them. But his hunch told him that those method won't work to this person. He trust his hunch the most.

"Wow. I thought you would Kidnapped me first then interrogate me after but to think you would leave me free-handed. I guess you're not him if you're predictable, right? So, how did you found out?" Asked, the Fake Cale with an amused face.

"Why should I tell you?"

"Don't be so petty! How about this, You tell me how did you found me out and I'll tell you the reason why am I here."

"That won't do, I have three reasons why I have found you out, you should at least give me 2 more information first." Klyden shifted the deal into his favor more as 'Cale' laughed.

"Fft! You are still so petty! But fine, You can ask me 2 questions but don't ask any further information." The fake Cale leaned his hand to Klyden as he grasp it. Klyden inwardly smiled at the flow of the deal.

"Deal. Well then, first question. Why did you interrupt my conversation with the owner earlier?"

Klyden's questions confused the two. The fake Cale laughed once more and said, "You're really cute. Normally, people would ask who am I first, but you, haha!" His words aren't certain if it is a compliment or insult but Klyden take that as a compliment.

"Hm.. How should I answer this... hm... I don't know? Well, I'm not really sure why I need to interrupt at that moment. That fu-ahem! Anyway, I told you the truth. I don't know."

Klyden analyzed the man's facial expressions. He doesn't seem like lying so he let it hook off. He has already found out the answer of his question.

'That man is working with someone and that someone told him to interrupt the owner. He seems like he had no plan to show himself that time when I saw him outside the window, that means the information the man has is worth revealing their existence.'

"Then, Second question-" Fake 'Cale' Interrupted him first.

"Wait! You should at least have get that girl out of here. Isn't it much safer then?"

"Hm... You're right. Then, I'll let her leave if you let me ask 10 more questions. How about that?"

Klyden cheered as fake 'Cale' grumbled and shake their left hand in disagreement.

"You can't trust me and leave yourself alone with me. You can keep her here."

Smile. "Alright! Then, the second one is.. Who asked you to stalk me here?" Klyden bluntly said.

Fake 'Cale' coughed in shocked the complained," Hey! I'm not stalking you! It hurts my feelings you know? Sigh. Alright, alright, sigh."

Klyden looked over his pocket clock necklace and look at the time.

"Please hurry up, I don't have much time."

"'I exist everywhere. Time might be taking me away, but I''ll get replace right away.' That's the riddle he wants me to say if someone ask something like that. I can't say his name, well, I don't even know his name. I'm just a messenger."

Klyden fell silence for a moment and absorbs the 'obnoxious' riddle in. He can only think of this being as a god or an unknown existence. But that hook him as much to feel he's getting close to know the mysteries he didn't even tried to solve.

"So, tell me now how did you found me out! ack!"

The fake 'Cale' clutched his stomach as his legs somehow weakened. They looked at Klyden, who's still looking at him with a smile.

"Y-you little bast-ack."

"Oh. You're real. You're not as strong as I thought."

"What d-did you do?"

"Nothing. Maybe you caught Salmonella from the egg earlier. Or maybe from the poison I add to the lemon juice." Klyden grinned.

'I sealed every ounce of my power and just left a bit so that man can't find me, but to think this brat is... Sig-ssshh.'

"I-I need to go now, it seems. I'm curious about your reasons but it c-can't be help. L-let me just tell you one thing. The person who drags me here wanted you to know this. He said, 'Just like love birds can't live without their partners, a suicidal live without their own partner too, right'"

Fake 'Cale' hissed in pain. Even though he still have some poison resistance  and only feeling a little bit of pain, he wanted this first parting to be as dramatic as possible. That is why he leave the place with him, breaking into particles and leave nothing but golden dust that vanish into thin air.

"... Young master, what is."

"We saw nothing, right, Luticia?" Klyden turned to her with a cheerful smile. She is still confused about so many thing and want to ask more but that smile tells her to leave things be.

"Yes, young master."

"Yes, yes.. We saw nothing at all." Klyden looked at the white sky that is covered with thick clouds, threatening for the snow to fall.

'A suicidal live without their own partner too, right?'

'Could it be?'

Klyden grinned at his thought as he started to walk.

"Klyden-nim..."

Klyden looked at her after hearing his name.

"Hm?"

".. Um, shall we go back now?" Luticia asked after a quite long pause.

"Sure."

The two of them finally arrived at the count's house. Not even a second after opening the door, Klyden felt someone pushed their body onto him.

"Brother!" Cale hugged his brother tightly.

"Cale! Good Morning! What are you doing here?"

"Hm? I'm waiting for you, I guess. Where did you go?"

Klyden hugged his brother back. Although he is not used to these kind of skinship, he already got used to it when it comes to Cale.

"Let's go now! Father said our future instructor is finally here!"

Luticia just looked at them with a warm smile, 'He always looks like someone who won't trust other people... but isn't he already quite fond of Young Master Cale enough?'
