I swayed to the music as I waited for my drinks to be made for me and Ryan. It had been a while since I had seen my friend and we needed to catch up.

Ryan was one of my closest friends and there was never a secret between us. Considering his parents had worked for Hydra said a lot really. He was used and abused from a young age. Being experimented and we shared the same cell block. He was enhanced but not the way Hyrda wanted him to be.

"So," He said taking his drink, "You're telling me you left two super-soldiers behind?"

"Yeah,"

"For what!?" He laughed, "You had the chance to get out of our lifestyle and have fun. But here you are standing before me with contacts and a red wig,"

"I look good,"

"I didn't say you didn't," Ryan smiled, "Is there something else you aren't telling me?"

I sighed and nodded as we walked back to our table. A few other friends sat there but I still spoke to Ryan.

"I heard them arguing when I was with Aiden. I pretended I didn't but I did," I took a gulp of my drink, "They both like me,"

"You shagged them both?"

"Shag is such a rotten word," I laughed, "Yes. Both of them but not at the same time,"

"Is that why you ran? Because they had feelings for you?"

"Partly,"

"Ah. I see," Ryan smiled, "You like them,"

"Do not!"

"Fine. You are falling for one of them,"

I groaned and rested my head on his shoulder staring at my drink, "Correct. I ran because why would they fall for me? Of all people. I've done a lot of bad shit with and without Hydra. Shit, I told them I was a damn escort and they still didn't run,"

"But you did," Ryan said softly, "Why?"

"Fear. Embarrassment," I shrugged, "I don't know. It could be anything but you know me. I've never been able to express good emotions,"

"Don't be afraid to like someone. It could go somewhere,"

"Right. Who would want a washed-up Hydra bitch who can't have kids or normal life?" I scoffed, "He deserves to have someone who can give him a family and not have to worry about being ambushed 24/7. Ryan, it's better this way,"

"For who?" He asked, "Because I know for a fact that you were miserable making that decision. I also know that this superhero you've fallen for is just as miserable as you,"

"I doubt it,"

Ryan laughed, "Stop being so miserable. A little birdie told me that they haven't left London,"

"What?" I said staring at him, "But it's been 3 weeks!"

"Yup!" Ryan grinned, "Think hard about what you want from life, Blue. Sometimes it's handed to you on a silver platter. Other times you have to fight for it,"
