(Rework) Chapter 7: Confuse

Liam was texting with the doctor, who were both in their respective bedroom while he was texting Mike about their rehearsals and other aspects of his day. It was obvious that they wanted to be there, face to face, instead of reading each other's texts, but due to a scheduling difficulty, they were unable to make the time. However, they are aware that because of their respective careers, their relationship calls for a lot of patience and work. Something they gradually accept.

To prepare for his impending examinations, Mike was studying a mountain of flashcards at his desk. He wanted to talk with Liam for a few more hours but had to stop when he realized that he was running late and that it would be difficult for him to study and fit in everything he still needed to do. He stands up and goes to the kitchen in the hopes of brewing some coffee. Even though it appears that he has already consumed all of it, the doctor thinks that he should walk outside to clear his head and grabs a coffee. This will also give him the opportunity to chat with Liam once more.

With that, Mike grabs his laptop and a few of his stuff and place them in a messenger bag before exiting his apartment and going to his usual coffee shop not far from his apartment.

After a few hours, Mike has completed most of his job and is getting ready to go. He came across a nice gay pair traveling in the same direction as him while on his way out. He thought they were gay based on the assurance the two men exuded such as holding hands as they walked together toward the metro. Mike feels it was a romantic moment. He has to admit that he occasionally considers what the world could look like if things were simpler. If only Liam and he were as assured as them.

Daydreaming about Liam and him going on a simple date, holding hands, and walking across the park made Mike blush. able to express themselves to the world without worrying or fear of losing their jobs as a result of the harsh and unjust laws pertaining to gays. When the two men exchanged smiles and short kisses before the man on the right waved goodbye and turned in a different direction, he couldn't help but smile.

Mike arrived home, his body laying on his bed, yet his mind still wonders about the life he wishes for. Him being with Liam more and doing whatever they want; Mike can't believe how much has changed in his life. He was always happy to do whatever he wanted and be whatever he wanted but it seems like everything is changing now. He's in a better place than he used to be in his last relationship. He got a boyfriend and is proud of himself for having one, yet deep inside he can't help feeling lonely. He misses Liam so much, all he wants is his presence by his side. He just hopes that someday somehow he'll be able to live life with him, without the worries of society.

The doctor continues to daydream until his eyes lids became heavier, the comforts of the bed making him fall asleep.

Mike woke up from his slumber, mind just grasping the idea that he had a dream about that day. The day he wishes to forget before. Couldn't really sleep well. He brushes it off and proceeds to get up and stretch. It was still early, and from the sound of the ocean and no noise of his friend, except Nash's snores none of his friends is awake yet... Or so he thought. Once he got out of the tent, he saw Richard enjoying a nice hot tea on the massive rock that he sat on the last night. Body wearing a jacket from the cold breeze coming from the ocean.

He slowly walks in his direction, the Scottish actor heard the man's footsteps and gave a bright smile, asking if he wants some tea, which the doctor denied but thanked him for the offering. He questions the actor why he's up early.

"Sometimes I wake up early to watch the sunrise that's all, how about you?" the actor asked, eyes focused on his, and waiting for his response.

"Couldn't sleep" He replied, avoiding his gaze.
