Melvin's pov:
I'm having mixed feelings. On one hand I'm happy on the other, I'm quite pissed. Happy because I'm going to a new and better school, pissed because it's 6am on a monday. I hate Mondays it's a reminder that I'll have to wake up early 4 more times. Very annoying.I look at myself in the mirror wondering what to do with my long hair, luckily the school allows boys to grow their hair. I told my other school that my pastor told my mom i would run mad if i cut my hair luckily my mom went with the lie. Damn i look good this morning. But i dare not say that aloud. My mum says those are the words of playboys and she didn't give birth to a play boy. I think I'm just going to pack it up today.
Hey, my name is Melvin okeybue. Proud igbo boy. I'm 16 years old and my best friend tells me I'm too pretty to be a boy. I stay with my mom who is a caterer. My dad died when I was four so i don't really miss him that much. But I'm sure my mum does. I've been begging her to go out and date but she said she's fine with me being the only man in her life.
"Melvin why are you just standing there looking at yourself in the mirror. You've been getting very narcissistic these days oh" my mum says standing by my room door
"Ahan mummy no na. I'm just checking if all is good. I'm done dressing but i still have to make sure i look presentable"
"Hmm if you say so oh. Come and eat Doyin will soon be here and she will have your head off if you waste her time" my mum says beckoning me to follow her.
Doyin has been my best friend since we were in primary school. Some boys from my class were trying to beat me up and collect my food money until Doyin came and poured sand on them. Then screaming that the boys tried to beat her instead so the teacher punished them. After that she looked me in the eye and told me that from then on she'll be my protector. We've been inseparable since then.
People always ask if we're dating, classmates have always shipped us together but i only see Doyin as a sister and I'm sure she feels the same way.Daniel's POV
"i don't want to go to schoooool. Leave me alone" my little brother whines
"David please. Daisy has already worn her uniform. I still have to bathe" i beg
"nuh uh"
"If you don't get up from this bed and enter that bathroom i will call Daddy and tell him to bring his belt"I threaten not bothering to tell him that dad has already travelled this morning and only God knows when he'll come back.
Hearing that, he quickly sprints to the bathroom in his room with our nanny behind him.
I could leave all these for her but my parents have been fighting lately and they drown themselves in work or other activities to avoid seeing each other due to that there are no parental figures in the house. I can't let my siblings go through that. I have to be there.
My name is Daniel Folarin. According to my school, I'm the golden boy. I'm an all-rounder; there's nothing i can't do. I'm good with sports, academics, debates, cooking, singing, dancing, anything you name it. I've only had one girlfriend and that's Emerald but we're on and off though depends on my mood
Quite frankly she's a great friend, she just has anger issues.I'm a friendly guy, i love everyone and everyone loves me. I don't have enemies, none that I know of and I'd love to keep it that way.
"Daniiii! I can't tie my shoelace!"
Oh boy
♡if you were to date Daniel or melvin, who would it be and why?♡
