Saving our baby(ies)

At the hospital the doctor had to operate on Imlie for 4 hours. Aryan stood outside with the family , completely broken down and repeatedly asking God to take his life instead of his Imlie's. Narmada and Methi pitied Aryans condition and prayed incessantly for their brave daughter while Arpita stayed strong and made sure the hospital formalities and arrangements were taken care of.

The doctor came out and the family rushed to learn about Imlie's condition. Aryan stood at the very end with tears in his eyes unable to speak in fear. The doctor assured the family that Imlie was ok and her baby was ok as well.  Aryan suddenly felt that he could finally breathe and asked to see his Imlie. The doctor told the family that they can meet her after she is moved to the general ward and also that she is sedated and will likely wake up tomorrow only. The doctor asked who was the baby's father and Aryan wiped his tears and moved ahead. The doctor asked him to meet her in his cabin after 20 minutes, amma and the rest of the family insisted on meeting the doc too . So the doc asked all of them to meet her in order to discuss next steps for Imlies care.

Aryan saw his Imlie from outside the room and wowed to protect her and their baby at all costs. Narmada asked aryan to join them as they were going to meet the doctor as instructed.

The family sat in the doctors cabin and discussed amongst themselves about questions to ask the doctor . The doctor came and they all rose to greet her, she asked them to sit and started to speak about Imlie.

Aryan had a notepad and pen in case he needed to take notes but as the doctor started talking, he fell silent. The doctor explained that Imlies had a high risk pregnancy which meant that there was a big risk of miscarriage or complications with her delivery. This was because her first pregnancy had ended in a miscarriage and also the fact that she had been in coma for the past 6.5 months. She also told them that Imlie was carrying twins which also complicated her pregnancy further. The doctor explained that Imlie was physically and mentally very weak , todays incident could have been fatal for Imlie. The doctor further explained that Imlie  had exerted herself too much during the day and as a result began experiencing premature labor pains, also her umbilical cord had began to tear leading to the profuse bleeding.

Aryan did not realize but tears were flowing down his eyes as he blamed himself for Imlies condition. The doctor felt sorry for Aryan and quickly assured the scared family that with a proper treatment plan, Imlie could still successfully deliver her babies . The family listed intently as the doctor gave them instructions for Imlies care. Imlie needed bed rest for the upcoming couple of weeks followed by  light walking in the home until her delivery. The doctor also gave them instructions on her future medications and appointments. The doctor also suggested they get a therapist for Imlie to help her recover mentally. The doctor also explained them about symptoms Imlie would experience until delivery and how to care for her through them.

The family left the doctors cabin with hope and determination that they would nurse their Imlie back to health. Aryan spoke to Methi and pleaded her to stay with them in Rathod mansion. He assured her that he will not force his way into Imlie's life nor claim any rights over her or the babies against Imlie's wishes. And that he would only be there to support her through the difficult pregnancy. Methi said that her dream was to see Imlie and Aryan together but will support their wishes in every way possible.
