This story is inspired by the book Anastaisia's Secret and Roots by SweetlySouthern
Before I start my story, you need to know the story of the Romanov Family.
Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova was born to the Tzar of Russia in 1901. She had three older sisters, Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, and Maria Romanova, and one younger brother, Tzarovich Alexie Romanov.
In 1916, Anastasia, along with her siblings and her parents, were taken into captivity by the soviets.
The Romanov family was exicuted in June of 1918 in the basement of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinsburg. Olga was 22, Tatiana was 21, Maria was 19, Anastasia was 17, and Alexie was 13. In 2000, the Eastern Orthadox Church named the entire Romanov family saints. Their bodies are now buried at St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The only survivor of the masacre was Joy, Alexie's dog.
Although it was confirmed that all of the royal family had been acounted for in 2008, rumors had spread around that the grand duchess Anastasia had somehow managed to survive. This story is based on those rumors.
In no way is this a true story. This was created by me alone. The Romanov Masacre was the final blow to imperialist Russia, and it fell not long after to the Soviets.

Prolague:
September 1914
"MAMA!" I screamed.
Somehow, as we ran towards the train, I had gotten separated from Mama and Papa. I was confused in the sea of people.
Over the people rioting, I saw the train. I ran as fast as I could through the crowd.
Just as I reached the train, it started moving.
"Anastasia!"
Olga was reaching for me from the platform at the end of the train. "Anastasia!"
I ran faster to try to catch up with the train. Just as I was about to grab Olga's hand, I lost my footing and fell to the tracks, hitting my head on the metal railings.
The last thing I remember before my world became dark was an increasingly distand voice screaming my name.

SweetlySouthern made me this apsolutely beutifull cover for my story, but I can't figure out how to post it, so I'm just gonna put down the link.
