Fantina's First Year

Fantina was a beautiful baby. Even being only 2 pounds, she had smooth skin and soft eyes. To John and Mizura, Fantina was precious. All of their friends in Portland thought so as well. Thats right, John and Mizura live in Portland, Oregon. Far away from Diana, who lives in Jacksonville. Everyone was so excited at the return of the new family.

"She's so precious!" Jenice, one of the couples friends had told them.
Jenice's boyfriend Mato was there as well.

"You two are so lucky to have such a beautiful baby." Mato was ecstatic for Mizura, who always wanted a child.

"Guys, where is Katia?" Mizura had hoped that Katia would come to see the new baby.

"I don't know," Jenice replied.

"We haven't seen her since yesterday," Mato added.

"The little bitch is probably smoking some weed or something," John remarked. He never liked Katia because she used to do drugs.

"John, be nice!" Mizura was upset with John's behavior.

"Oh well, John and I have to go. I'm sure Katia will see Fantina soon enough."

With that, Mizura and John went home with the little Fantina.

Fantina was told that she wouldn't be able to walk until she was around 2 years old. Still, Fantina always entertained everyone with the faces that she made. Everyone enjoyed being around Fantina. She could light up the room in an instant. After all, she was considered a miracle.

Even with a baby in the house, the young couples sexual life didn't end. It just died down a little. They still had sex every week. By the time Fantina was 7 months old, Mizura was pregnant again.

Overtime Fantina grew slightly. Feeding off of breast milk only twice a day, the family worried that she wasn't getting enough nutrients within her body. They decided not to worry about it, as they thought that due to her small body, she wouldn't eat as much as other babies.

Then the day come for Fantina's first birthday. All of the families friends came to John and Mizura's apartment for the celebration. Mato and Jenice came. Their other friend Dixby came. Even Katia came to the party. There were snacks and games. While Fantina was a little young, she still seemed to have enjoyed herself at the party.

After everyone left, the couple decided to weigh Fantina. Why you may ask? Well, the doctor had told them that Fantina should be around 14 pounds by her first birthday. When the couple weighed Fantina though, she was only 6.8 pounds. This worried especially Mizura, as she has experienced loss with an underweight child before. Her youngest sister Mozi, died when she was 2 due to her lack of weight.

"I hope our baby is alright," Mizura was panicking and was trying to calm herself down.

"Don't worry, it will be okay."
John attempt to sooth only made things worse.
"What if she's not fine? I can't take that chance. I'm taking Fantina straight to the doctor tomorrow morning."

"If you believe it is necessary," John knew he couldn't change Mizura's mind.

With that, the couple went to bed, with no sex. This had upset John because when things got rough, having sex usually soothed his nerves. But as we all know, he's not getting any tonight.
