"God, I hope I'm not late!" John nervously whispered to himself as he speeds down the street. Sweat is dripping from his forehead. His mind is racing in a million directions. His heart is beating exceptionally fast. All he is thinking about is if his baby girl is okay.
John arrived at the school a few minutes later. There, he saw Mrs. Beldum carrying Fantina in her arms. Candace ran directly behind them.
"Daddy, daddy." Candace cried nervously to her father.
"Mrs. Beldum, what happened?" John asked very worried for his daughters safety.
"Well, we were getting ready to sit down for learning time, and she just fell." Mrs Beldum had replied, sweating just as much as John.
"I already contacted Mizura and she will meet me at the hospital."
"Okay John, please be safe."
At the hospital, John ran into the main lobby. They immediately put Fantina on a hospital carrier and rolled her quickly to the emergency area. They put her into a room and began treatment.
John and Candace sat in the lobby waiting for Mizura to come. A few minutes later, she came running in and stopping at the reception desk. She was tired and out of breath. She was gasping for air. The receptionist looked at her weirdly, but she was also a little concern.
"Let me guess, you're here with John."
Mizura was gasping for air, "Yes, I am."
"All you alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine."
They eventually found the room Fantina was in. They saw her laying in the hospital bed, waiting for her procedure.
She slept there peacefully. Her eyes were closed and she was laying softly. She was very calm and underwhelmed.
"Nataliah was right," Mizura whispered realizing what had happened.
"Indeed she is," John replied bleakly.
"I just never expected it to happen so soon though."
"I don't think anybody did Mizura."
Mizura decided to leave in order to get something to eat. John stayed in the room. He didn't want to leave his child even for a split second. He saw her laying there, her 20 pound self, and he wondered if she would be okay.
"John, are you okay?" Mizura noticed him next to Fantina.
"Yeah," he replied hastily. "I'm just worried. Thats all."
"Aww, baby!"
They both began to tear up. Candace did as well, and the three sat there next to Fantina. Eventually, she did wake up and yawned, stretching her arms in the air.
"Did we wake you sweetie?"
"No mommy, I just got up."
"Are you okay?"
"I fine, I think."
"Okay, your just gonna have to stay here for a little longer Fantina."
"I guess thats fine."
She fell right back asleep. It was for the best that she gets more rest. This left the family laying next to Fantina. And their child, hospitalized.
