Chapter 42

3rd pov:

Taehyung's mother and aunt learnt about taehyung's new love interest a month ago and have been curious ever since.
It happened when taehyung looked at his phone a hundred times one fine day, when he was waiting for a reply from jungkook about an information he told him to find.
He only bothered him with work when it was absolutely necessary as he was considerate about his exam schedule.

But that specific day caught their eyes and they made their own men spy on who taehyung is secretly meeting.

And because taehyung and jungkook hadn't met in 2 months, they caught nothing.

And why was his aunt sending out men to find him?
To set him up on a blind date, their motive was to make him admit truth about his secret love. Why was he hiding it to them. Why was he smiling every now and then?

What he didn't want was them finding it out before he could get a reply to his confession. He would proudly bring jungkook to his mom and aunt, but he didn't want jungkook to feel pressured.

"you last exam was today?? No wonder taehyung left hq without telling anyone" his mother commented

"why would he leave hq for that?" jungkook laughed not understanding what she meant.

"nothing much, but I was thinking about going to the spa, wanna join me? You look tired too" she asked jungkook who was more than ready.

Taehyung's chance at talking with jungkook was down the drain and his only choice was to join them, there was no other way he –who didn't see jungkook for 2 months and missed him so much– could send him off again.

"taehyung this is the first time you've ever went to the spa with me. I can't believe you would do this for jungkook, do you like him that much?" miss Kim whispered into taehyung's ear as she waited inside the car for jungkook.

"mom don't be obvious that you know, and please don't tell aunt about him"

"too late honey, she's on her way to the spa"

"ms.kim I heard this spa has a new face mask treatment, have you tried it?" jungkook said getting in the car while also reading something from the internet

"you mean the mixed fruit one? Yes! We should get it together, I recommend the citrus facial with it"

"wow!! this is why you need a pro" jungkook complimented her as they got off the car to the said spa.

Ms.kim got off the car and looked at her watch and entered the reception, then shortly they heard "am I late?"

"just on time" ms.kim winked and signaled towards jungkook.

Jungkook who was looking at the menu turned towards the duo when

"oh!"

"it's you?"

"please don't tell me you know her too" taehyung sighed.

"not really" jungkook sheepishly said

"you, you were from that party?" ms.choi recalled, "you said your name was something else? Yugyeom?"

"oh that was a fake name" jungkook accepted, and Ms.choi blinked in surprise.

"my work involves undercover stuff like that and you know" and ms.choi just laughed, she laughed out loud and both of the Kim duo were surprised, after the sunghyun incident, she was very depressed for a year. And jungkook actually met her six months ago.

And why didn't she meet jungkook when sunghyun was the perpetrator? She was ashamed to have raised a son like this.

She wiped a tear and hugged him while patting him and said "you've worked hard" and left to the spa room as the others walked behind. Jungkook was confused for a minute, then he realized she was sunghyun's mother, her husband is in coma, and he met her six months ago at a party to catch info on a guy. They accidentally met as he was blending in, she was sitting alone and drinking colorful cocktails and surprisingly they got along well that night.
