They pulled apart and Ivy desperately wanted to close the space between them but didn't exactly know how. She could feel Andy standing over her, wrapping his strong arms around her. Andy leaned in and Ivy pulled away, backing up a bit so he couldn't pull her back in. He frowned at her but didn't say a word.

"This isn't right, I can't do this with you." Ivy said, trying to explain. Andy's face had a sad expression that he desperately tried to hide.

"What...did I do something to you?"

 "No I-"

 "Then what's wrong?" Andy interrupted.

"It's my sister.  I can't do this to her. W-"

"She has nothing to do with this." he interrupted again, a little anger in his tone. Ivy opened her mouth to speak, but seeing the anger brewing in Andy's eyes, shut it. "You know what, let's just go." he said, getting in the car and slamming the door.

The whole way back the two rode in utter silence, Andy angry and Ivy full of regret. When they finally arrived at the house both Andy and Ivy still refused to speak to each other.  Walking up to the porch, Andy attempted to pull open the door and Ivy slammed it shut. Andy refused to even look at her.

"Andy...I never wanted to hurt you. And you have every right to be angry with me, but I just wanted to say thank you." Andy tuned and his face softened a bit. -

Thank you?" he asked. Ivy stretched her hand, placing it on Andy's cheek.

"Thank you for the best night of my life." She pulled her hand back and went inside.  The living room was empty but she could hear people roaming throughout the house. Ivy made her way to her room, hoping to be alone, and ran into Tessa. Obviously sensing Ivy's sadness, Tessa invited her to hangout in the game room.

Learning more of the layout of the house, Ivy realized that this room wasn't far from her own. The room's walls where filled with movie, TV, and video game posters. The only large parts not covered where where the two flatscreen TVs hung, and upon closer inspection Ivy realized the walls where painted a pale green.

The TVs hung next to each other on the wall opposite the door. Under the TVs was a long cabinet and inside where a cable box, DVD player, Xbox one, Wii, Super Nintendo, assorted games, controllers and movies.

There was a long black sectional around the TVs for people to play games and watch TV or movies together. On the other wall was a glass table accompanied by simple black chairs and shelves filled with board games.  To finish the room a large stereo was set in the middle of the wall for music to play throughout the whole room.

Tessa and Ivy sat together on the sectional. "So what's up?" Tessa asked.

"I just got back from a PTV concert with Andy." Ivy said vaguely, attempting to avoid detail. Tessa have her a look and scooted closer to her on the couch.

"Yeah I know.  How was it?"

 "Fun."

 "Then why are you upset?"

 "I'm fine."

"That's the answer people who are hurt give." Tessa leaned in and hugged Ivy.

Pulling away Ivy replied, "I have royally screwed up."

 "How so?"

Ivy was hesitant. "I kissed Andy and then rejected him because of his history with Kat." Tessa didn't react right away, "Please don't tell Kat!" Ivy begged.

"No of course not. But if I can ask, how do you feel about Andy?"

Ivy shifted a bit. "I don't know.  When I'm around him I feel comfortable and cared for. But I can't possibly be with him.  I mean I just met him and he has history with my sister.  I can't do that to her." Tessa was staring at her with a sympathetic look.

"Well you have to choose who's more important to you because if you don't you may end up hurting both of them." Ivy knew this was true but had refused to accept it. She looked at Tessa with a saddened smile.

"Thank you Tessa." she said, hugging her.

"That's what friends are for." Tessa replied, pulling away.

The girls chatted for a while before they realized that the sun was about to come up any minute.  Ivy made her way to her bedroom without any wrong turns. When she got there, she changed into a pair of Nirvana pajama pants and a black tank top before yawning and climbing into bed. She laid there, thinking about what to do before drifting to sleep with somewhat of a guilty conscience.

Ivy awoke the next night with a weight on her chest, the events from the night before still in her mind. She willed herself to get out of bed and made her way to the bathroom for a shower.

When she finished, she blow dried her hair and pulled it into a bun. Making her way to her room she put on a black tanktop with the phases of the moon shaped like hearts & a ripped pair of grayish denim shorts.

Ivy reluctantly made her way to the library where she knew Kat would be. Sure enough, when Ivy pushed the doors open she found Kat sitting in a pair of purple flannel pajama pants and a black tank top reading the Chronicles of Nick.

She must have been at an intense chapter because she was twisting the end of her braid absentmindedly. She hadn't even noticed Ivy come in, so Ivy slowly made her way to the couch Kat was sitting on so as not to disturb her. When Ivy sat down, Kat finally realized there was someone was in the room, looked up, and smiled.

"Good evening sis.  What's up?" Kat asked.

Ivy;s stomach churned. "I have something I need to talk to you about.  Well, more just tell you."

"Sure, anything." Kat replied, still smiling.

"Well, last night I went to a Pierce the Veil concert with Andy and we had a great time." Ivy paused and saw that Kat's expression wasn't really changing.  She still had a grin across her face, even though Ivy was clearly having trouble trying to talk at all. "After the concert we kissed," Kat still had no change, "And I let him know that it wasn't ok for us to do anything about it because of his history with you."

At this point Kat's smile dropped and she looked a little saddened.

 "Why did you say that?"

"Because you and him were a thing and I didn't want to hurt you." Kat put a bookmark in her book and chickled. "What's so funny?" Ivy asked.

"Andy already came and talked to me like a while ago."

 "Really?  What about?"

"He asked me if it was okay for him to hang out with you, ya know alone, and I'm totally alright with it." Ivy gave a cute little smile. "I already know what happened.  He came and talked to me last night about what happened at the concert and he was really broken up about it. I don't think he's ever been rejected before."

Ivy didn't know what to do.  She was filled with a happy nervousness that she had never felt before.

"Do you know where he is?"

Kat smiled. "His room is three doors down to the right."

Ivy made her way down to Andy's room, her heart thumping against her rib cage.  She knocked on the door and was met with silence. Pushing the door open, Ivy slowly made her way to the bed where Andy was still sleeping.  She sat at the edge and he still didn't wake.

Ivy gently placed her hand on the side of Andy's sleeping face. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes to look at her. They both sat there and gazed into each other's eyes, the room filled with moon light. Ivy smiled and placed a gentle kiss on his soft lips.

"Good night." she whispered as he sat up.

"Best wake up call I've had in a long time." he said, sitting up to stretch. He looked over at her with a slight smirk on his face. "What made you change your mind about me?"

Ivy grabbed his hand and a smile spread across her moonlit face.

"I never should have said no in the first place."
