Chapter 4: A New Companion

Y/n POV

I start staying with this group. This group is nice, the food I brought should last everyone for days if they use their brain.

Soon, a group of people came toward me. They hold weapons and are prepared to do what their boss said. And it looks like their boss just came.

"Pleased to meet you. My name is Inho Cheon. Mind telling me your name?" The guy asked me.

"It's Y/n L/n," I replied.

"Well, hello Y/n. I'll get to the point. Join our group. You gave everyone food, after all, we could have someone like you in the group." Inho said.

"No thanks. I'm okay on my own." I replied.

"Oh, I see. Well, I hope you'd change your mind." Inho said as he and his group walk away.

"Hyeonseong, you said that there's something wrong about them, right?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah. What about it?" Hyeonseong asked.

"Then I guess you're right," I replied.

Sooner or later, I'll go since there's nothing to gain here. Might as well leave and go straight to the location of the second main scenario.

After resting for a while, I decided to go to the next location.

"Are you sure?" Sangah asked.

"Yeah, there's nothing to gain here. And if I stay, I might get into some kind of trouble." I said, looking at Inho and his group.

"Don't worry about me, cutie. I'm gonna be fine. And maybe we'll meet again." I said teasingly.

Sangah started blushing and stop. All of them wave goodbye at me and then I start walking to find my way to the next location.

<Main Scenario #2 - The Encounter>

"Nice, now I guess I'll start going."

On my way, I encountered several monsters and manage to escape from them. You see, I don't have any weapons, so I couldn't fight them even if I wanted to. The monsters got too much advantage here.

Not long after, a shining light appeared and I saw Ilyang. Ilyang appeared while smirking.

"Well well well, I guess you're lucky. I'm only here to give you what you got from the auction. So here." Ilyang said as an item appeared.

[An item has arrived from the auction house.]

[Obtained the item, Cross Thread.]

"Huh, what's this?" I asked.

"You're lucky that somebody wanted to take the thing you auctioned for this. Cross Thread is a weapon that can be used, both offensively and defensively. It took the form of gloves with metallic fingertips with wire threads running through them, and they can be used in various ways to attack, defend against, or immobilize opponents. The thread is from the hair of an ancient beast. It is said that the thread is nearly invincible. But there're still ways to destroy it or to cut the threads. The thing is, it's very hard to use. The better your imagination, the better you can use it." Ilyang explained.

"Holy! This must be cool." I said.

"Well, that's it." Ilyang then disappears.

I continue my journey, but this time. I attack the monsters coming at me. This weapon that I have makes things easier. It doesn't give any damage, but it does make things a lot easier.

I met some Ground Rat along the way, they tried to attack me, but I already set my thread around. They are stuck inside a cage. I then start making the cage smaller and smaller until the Ground Rat got cut to pieces.

"That should do it." I then start walking. I might indeed encounter some bad things in my journey. But I should be able to pass through it.

Soon, I saw someone in a distance. That person is holding a sword as he walks. As I approach him, he notices me and quickly unsheathes his sword.

He glared at me and then ask "Who are you?"

"I'm Y/n L/n. And I'm a human being just like you. Would you like to become friends?" I said with a smile.

He stares at me for a while.

??? POV

(I should've been alone here. I need to check him. I can't be sure if he's a threat or not.)

I activate the eye of the sage. Upon looking at his attribute window, I could say that I'm surprised. He's useful...

(His attribute seems to have a true nature that can be awake. And the fact that he survive until now without constellation is impressive for a normal person. He's definitely useful.)

Y/n POV

I look at the guy, and he looks like he's thinking about something. I wonder what is it about.

"Sure. You could be my ally." The person said.

I'm happy to hear that, so I decided to ask for his name. "Can you tell me your name?"

"I'm Junghyeok Yu." He then turns around and starts walking.

I follow him from behind. He seems like a cold guy. But hey, at least I have a companion. We take our time, walking and slaying all the monsters.

Third POV

As the two slay the monsters, Junghyeok look at Y/n. He's surprised to find a very rare weapon used by Y/n. The Cross Thread. It seems like he really did make a great ally.

Together, they made their way to Chungmuro Station. That place is the place where landlords dominate everyone.

"So, wanna talk?" Y/n asked.

"About?" Junghyeok replied.

"Anything. I'm feeling kinda bored." Y/n said.

"We're here," Junghyeok said.

Both of them look at the station that is now filled with green zones.
