Before we get started, I'd like to mention the inspiration for the title of the story and chapters; songs.
Title is based off of Samt und Stein by Velvet Condom and Chapter is based off of Pass The Nirvana by Pierce the Veil
All the chapters will have a song reference, they wont all tie into what the chapter is about or the feels of it, some might though.
Also despite (Y/n) being gender neutral, I will be using both fem and masc terms/nicknames for them.
Let's get rollin now.

Finally, a much needed vacation, you could cry tears of joy. Your friends had pulled together a small celebratory excursion in one of the good ole state of Washington's many..many forests. Not too long ago you all went through hell working on theses, research papers, and projects, scrambling to graduate college. That's long past behind you now, but you can remember that day clearly, the proud moment of holding onto your degree, the cheers and yells of happiness. Man, college is brutal.

Shaking your head, you look to your right, watching the rows and rows of trees zip by and listen in onto the faint white noise of whatever song your friends were currently jamming out to. The woods always comforted you, it was something about the serenity that the woods had that lulled you into a state of peace, so when your friends mentioned renting out a cabin somewhere out in Gold Bar, Washington you pitched in and joined.

Sighing you think about all who's with you on this trip, Raniero, who prefers Rani, is the oldest out of the six of you, he had actually graduated the year before you, which promptly gave him the affectionate name of "senior citizen Rani". Nadia, your closest friend and also roommate while in college. She is the best thing in your life and you owe yourself managing to graduate to her. You don't think you'd ever meet someone like her, she's one of a kind. Next is Leon, who decided to plan the trip, he's really the sort've guy to be a natural born leader, except he never did the leading, never the fan of the responsibility it holds. He's more of a guy who plans and lets someone else figure out all the details and schematics, which is exactly what happened when the plans for the trip started forming together. His twin sibling, Theo, was always the one who ended up figuring out the specifics of anything Leon planned. They were the quietest out of everyone, but also the most sharp witted. While Theo's honesty was always appreciated, it was the most painful wake up call ever. Finally, Kalyani. She was new last year since she was a transfer to your college. She never went into detail about why she transferred but you never wanted to pry so you've never bothered to ask, you're just glad she decided to come with in the end, took forever to convince her.

Washington was always a real pretty state. Going to college here was a tough move, moving across the country was not the nicest feeling but you pulled through. Even now you get a little homesick for NYC and wondered if you should've gone to college there, but the University of Washington was calling you 4 years ago and now the state is what you would call home. High school senior you would not believe themself if they looked at where you sat now. First year at college and you had won first for a small home video project that took you months to plan and write. That small home video is actually what got everyone, minus Kalyani here, to meet. It was just a regular small horror survival arg and most of the group was a pretty big fan of that sort've thing so when you posted flyers it wasn't a surprise when they all signed up, allowing you guys all to quickly become friends.
