Let Go

You didn't stay the whole time and eventually went above to the bar to get something simple to eat so you didn't get sick.

Kiryu of course stayed put & was pleasantly pleased with what he'd seen. Sean had made a great impression on a man who got to know someone through his fists. (His own quote). This would be an incredibly useful and fruitful partnership. What Kiryu wanted to find out was why he ended up in the ring in the first place?

Takeshi, Hyun & Shan-yuan all cleaned up and got dressed, rejoining their chairman at the bar above the cage with Sean by their side.

"You made a good first impression." Takeshi praised, patting Sean on the back.

Sean who was now wearing causal clothes was confused at why his opponents, who he'd knocked down, were leading him somewhere. Through a club and to a booth where Kiryu and you were sat. Side by side. You eating something dry and small and Kiryu holding a stiff drink. It was quieter where you both were huddled, the music subdued.

Kiryu stood up and reached a hand out to Sean. "Thank you for joining me."

"Who are you and what do you want?" Sean asked in very slow Japanese.

"My name is Kazuma Kiryu. And I'm the chairman of the Tojo clan."

"The what?"

"The largest criminal organisation in Tokyo." Kiryu explained. "Yakuza?"

Sean was blank.

"Gangsters?" Kiryu tried.

"I see."

"Your 3 opponents today were my guards and my aide. The people closest to me. You fight very well." Kiryu praised.

Sean's face remained flat and tense with a tight lip. "So what is the point of this?"

"I need a new bodyguard."

You decided to go home half way through the conversation by bidding Kiryu goodbye with a gentle kiss on his lips. Shan-yuan was your designated driver tonight and you spent a lot of time thinking. The window was open and the cold air subduing your need to throw up.

"Are you ok, miss?" Shan-yuan asked.

"Yeah, are you?"

"As good as can be yes."

"Even after being beaten?"

"Yes." Shan-yuan suppressed a smile.

"What do you think of Sean?" You curiously asked.

"A good fighter."

The next morning you were pleasantly surprised to see 2 men walking around. Hyun and Sean. Both of them separated, sitting at the table or looking down onto the balcony. Kiryu had dipped off right before you woke up which annoyed you because you often had to call him to find out where he was.

When you walked through only Sean noticed you and came up to you, smiling. "Good morning."

"Hi." You smiled back, not looking at him really and purely focusing on getting some water and crackers.

"Uh, can I get you anything?"

"No, no thank you."

"If I can, please let me know."

"Yeah, I will. For sure." You dismissed flatly. Rarely did his guards speak to you unless it was Takeshi. Even then...

Sean definitely began admiring you. You were very distant and quiet, walking around in pyjamas and having loud chatty conversations on the balcony with a guise for fresh air. You were sultry and fantastical with your presence. If he could do anything to help you, he would.

Partly due to his naïveté, partly due to his American arrogance; Sean forgot that he was in a different country. In this country, hierarchy meant more than anything. The position was important. Kiryu was at the top of the table and fucking with his family meant securing a plot for your burial. But poor Sean...

Kiryu sat at his office with Kashiwagi and his lawyer. They were discussing something which required utmost privacy. So each door was shut while Takeshi & Shan-yuan stood outside guarding.

On the table lay pieces of paper and a pen.

"Are you sure, chairman?" His lawyer asked with crossed arms.

"Are you, Kiryu?" Kashiwagi asked as well. "This is a big thing."

"You're signing over how many? 3 out of 56. Are you sure?" His lawyer repeated.

When Kiryu remained silent, Kashiwagi knew there was something to say. So his lawyer excused herself and left the office, with the door shut behind her.

"What's making you do this, Kazuma?"

Kiryu stared at the papers in front of him. "Y/N is pregnant."

Kashiwagi's eyebrows raised on his scarred face. "Congratulations, Kazuma." His hand patted Kiryu's strong back.

"Thank you, Kashiwagi-san."

"But...that doesn't answer why..-"

"So if anything happens to me I know her and the baby will be looked after." Kiryu explained logically. "My lawyer's drafted the contract so only Y/N can make amends. Whoever comes after me won't be able to sign it away."

"I normally hear of Patriarchs and Chairmen gifting expensive luxuries. This is new for me."

"Expensive luxuries won't protect my family." Kiryu sighed. "I don't want anyone to know she's pregnant."

"Why not?"

Interrupting Kiryu was his lawyer who walked back through, stopping to bow in front of Kiryu. "Thank you, chairman."

"Where am I signing?" Kiryu asked and his lawyer showed him.

Taking a bath helped. Your body soaking allowed it to stretch whilst you kept warm beneath the layer of hot water. Not boiling, just hot. Tomorrow you had an appointment with a midwife to discuss everything. Your birth, fears, scans, diet, etc. It raced through your mind like a face horse of a race course.

Kiryu came home and dismissed his guards, pouring a drink for himself and throwing himself down onto the sofa with a huge sigh. His hand ran along his face as he let himself slowly forget the stress of the day.

"Hi." You smiled, wrapping your robe around your waist and walking over to him as he sat on the sofa.

Opening his tired eyes slowly, Kiryu widened them when he saw what you were wearing. A red lingerie set with a matching robe tied around your waist.

"What's wrong?" You gently asked, standing between his legs.

"Nothing. We have a busy day tomorrow." Kiryu looked at you and then the boobs in his face, then back at you.

"Oh do we?"
