10 Diamonds

The car now sat in Ginza, right in front of a well known row of designer stores. After Kiryu was done talking to the Forger then he'd visit one of these shops to buy you a gift. It was the back seat of a different vehicle now.

"Chairman." The forger bowed. "I'm so grateful you could come and visit me."

"Likewise."

"The food in the restaurant was amazing. The chef was happy to know that I was recommended by you."

Kiryu scoffed. "It's the little things."

The forger handed Kiryu a thick padded brown envelope which had 1 Japanese passport in it. Kiryu slipped the blue square book out of the bag and opened it to reveal a very convincing forge. The name was different, so was the date of both but the age was correct, the place of birth was also different.

"Can she travel with it?" Kiryu asked whilst inspecting the forge, after all he did know a thing or 2 about fake passports.

The forger laughed heartily. "Of course she can! I wouldn't supply this without it. It'll also work when opening bank accounts, taking loans and finances. Things like that."

"Good." Kiryu put the passport in the brown envelope and sighed deeply. This was one weight off his chest.

"I'm thankful you trusted me with such a job."

"I'm grateful you got it done quickly and properly."

"I heard that you've sworn in Narumi Noya?" The forger quizzed.

"Yes. Word spreads fast." Kiryu pondered. "Do you know her?"

The forger laughed, his head thrown back in delight. "She's my ex."

"I see. I hope there's no hard feelings. I swore her in due to the money her enterprise makes. The relationship is purely business." Kiryu reasoned in a very classy way.

"Non at all, chairman. It's business to you. Don't let her take it another way." The forger warned.

"Take care." Kiryu left the vehicle and shut the door behind him, breathing in the expensive Ginza air.

Kiryu wanted to buy you a gift but had no idea what. He wasn't good at gifts. A nice bracelet or even a ring might make you happy. You'd dealt with a lot of stress and now were pregnant. What better way to show you his love than a piece of timeless jewellery. Whilst walking, he went past so many well known shops.

Gucci

Prada

Louis Vuitton

Chanel

Rolex

Cartier

Kiryu stopped and noticed the window displays which had fine jewellery. He noticed a bracelet which had no clasp on it and it caught his eye. It glimmered with individual diamonds in the band and was very thin. You might like that. So he went inside.

The store was warm due to the specifically placed lighting and Kiryu found himself stopped by two guards who searched him down.

"I apologise, sir. This is just precaution." One guard bowed.

Kiryu lifted his arms up and allowed himself to be searched, he had nothing to hide. Once the guards were happy Kiryu was allowed into the shop to browse. He walked towards the window and saw the same bracelet. It had what looked like a screw driver next to it. He was confused as to why a bracelet needed a screw driver.

"Could I help you, sir?" A young woman asked wearing a black suit and her hair in a tight pony. She was small and had a gold name badge on.

"Yeah, I want this bracelet. Why does is come with a screw driver?" Kiryu quizzed.

The sales assistant laughed. "I'll show you."

She sat down at a small booth and encouraged Kiryu to join her while slipped on white microfibre gloves. The lighting here was intricate and the desk itself was made of white glass. And the chairs were laid with red velvet and gold accents.

"This cartier LOVE bracelet is a rose gold bracelet set with 10 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.96 carats. The closure is designed with two functional screws placed on either side of the bracelet: you will need help to open or close it." She opened her gloved hands to reveal a similar bracelet but a planer model and pure gold.

"I see. So it needs to be screwed on." Kiryu watched carefully as she screwed a display model she was already holding.

"Yes sir. Is it for yourself?"

"No it's for my girlfriend. I'm not sure whether it'll suit her."

"Ahh, I see. Is it the model in the window that you liked?"

"Yeah."

"Very well, sir. I'll bring it over for you to have a look." She bowed and disappeared.

Kiryu's phone rang and he answered it, placing his envelope on the table and sitting back in the comfortable chair. "Hello?"

"Kazuma? Where are you?" You asked gently.

"In Ginza. Why?"

"I'm in Shibuya! I was with my friends and thought you might want to see me."

"Sure. I'll drive down as soon as I'm done."

"Come to the steakhouse!"

"Which friends are you with?"

"Some girls I know." You paused. "Is that alright?"

"Sure. Why the steakhouse?"

"Because it's what I'm craving. See you!"

Kiryu shook his head and hung up just as the sales lady came back to the desk, holding the bracelet from the window display with its matching screw driver. The lady showed Kiryu how to open this specific bracelet and screw it back on.

"There is a smaller model available if you'd prefer."

Kiryu pondered. "A smaller model?"

"Yes, for a more delicate look."

"Let's see both of them side by side."

The sales assistant nodded and disappeared again. Kiryu's phone also conveniently rang again, this time it was Takeshi.

"Hello?"

"Sir, there's a meeting set up for you this afternoon at the Noya Enterprises office."

"Cancel it. I'm busy."

"S-sir?"

"Dinner with Y/N."

"Yes sir."

The sales assistant reappeared as Kiryu put his phone away, she sat down again this time with two bracelets that looked identical at a glance. But one was smaller than the other.

"See? It's a bit thinner."

"I'll take that one."

"In rose gold, gold or white gold?"

"Rose gold. 10 diamonds around the bracelet."

"Very well, sir." She nodded. "Would you like it engraved?"

"How long will it take?"

"It'll be done in 3-5 weeks."

"No, I'll take it as it is." Kiryu shook his head. "I want to give it to her today."

"Very well, sir. I'll wrap it up. Are you paying cash, card or cheque?"

"Cheque."

Leaving behind a perfect signature along the dotted line, Kiryu left the store and walked back to his car armed with your gifts. The drive to Shibuya was only 20 minutes despite the consistent rush hour traffic of office workers getting off.
