Larchpaw Saw That Sagefall Was Staring Pleadingly At Her Mother. "What's Going On?" She Wondered, Padding Closer. "Runningflight Please! You Have To Follow Flintpaw's Scent! She Could Hurt Somewhere!" She Begged. Runningflight Blinked At Her. "But She Could Be In Hostile Territory. It's Too Dangerous For My Patrol To Follow Her." She Pointed Out To Sagefall. Larchpaw Blinked, Shocked. "Wait- Flintpaw's Not Even In Camp?" She Looked Around Desperately For Her Sister.

Runningflight Shook Her Head Sadly. "I'm Not Getting My Patrol Injured." She Growled Quietly. "But- Flintpaw-" Runningflight Interrupted Sagefall's Protest. "Flintpaw Will Be Fine." Fury Blazed Suddenly Into Sagefall's Eyes. "Then I'll Find Her Myself!" She Snarled Back, Whipping Around And Racing Past Larchpaw And Later Harecreek. Meanwhile, Runningflight Seemed Slightly Stunned, But Shook Her Pelt Out And Turned Away, Padding Over To The Other Cats On Her Patrol And Began
Discussing About It.

She Bounded Up To The Camp Entrance, Peering Nervously Out. "Larchpaw! Your Sister Left Against Orders, Get Away From The Camp Entrance!" A Voice Called From Not Too Far Behind, She Recognized It
As Thornwhisper's Voice, Padding Towards His Sister Sitting At The Camp Entrance. "Great Going Harecreek! What Happened To Guarding The Camp." He Growled To Her. Harecreek Looked Back At Him And Rolled Her Eyes. "Excuse Me! I Looked Away For A Moment!" She Hissed Back.

"That Moment Could Get Flintpaw Killed!" Thornwhisper Hissed Again, Glaring At Her. "Well- You Could've Been Watching Her As Well!" Harecreek Challenged, Scratching Her Brother, Anger Glowed In Her Eyes. Thornwhisper Sprang Back. "It Wasn't My Job! You Were The One Guarding Camp!" Larchpaw Saw Sparkstar Emerge From His Den, Studying The Argument For A Few Moments. "Enough!" He Hissed, The Sudden Loudness And Anger
Made Larchpaw Jump.

The Two Cats Stopped, Fur Bristled, Glaring At Each Other. "Why Are You Fighting?" Sparkstar Demanded. "Hadn't He Been Listening At All?" Larchpaw Wondered, Annoyed. "Harecreek Was Meant To Be Guarding Camp, But Flintpaw Escaped!" Thornwhisper Hissed. "Of Course She Did." Sparkstar Muttered. "That Kitten Has Been Escaping Camp Since She Opened Her Eyes!" Poppy Pointed Out. "I'm Aware.." Sparkstar Mewed, Glancing Away. "Our Camp Needs More Effective Security.."

Harecreek's Fur Bristled Again As She Glared At Her Leader. "I'm Doing Fine!" She Hissed, Lashing Her Tail Indignantly. "I Didn't Say You Weren't." He Growled Back. "Don't Assume Something That Doesn't Come Out Of My Muzzle.." Harecreek Flattened Her Ears And Looked Away With A Small Growl. Sparkstar Sighed And Padded Away, Lashing His Tail A Couple Of Times. Larchpaw Watched As He Left, Then Looked Back At Harecreek And Thornwhisper, Who Seperated With A Growl Each.

"Right- Well.. Onto The Patrol." Gorseheart Meowed From Somewhere. Sparkstar Hadn't Retreated To His Den, Instead He Was Sitting In The Corner Of Camp, Twitching His Tail.. His Gaze Showed A Growing Sense Of Exhaustion And Oncoming Acceptance, Making Her Curious. "Is Something Wrong?" She Wondered, Tipping Her Head. The Tom's Fur Had Been Steadily Growing Duller For Years According To Runningflight. He Layed Down, Resting His Head On His Paws, He Appeared
To Be Trying To Hide.

"Sparkstar?" She Quietly Padded Closer To Him. Larchpaw Gazed At Him, His Eyes Now Closed. "Is He Tired? Didn't He Just Wake Up?" A Growing Sense Of Concern Began Rising Inside Of Her. "Sparkstar?" She Repeated, Staring At Him.. "Hm- I'll Let Him Sleep?" She Whispered. "I Could Go For A Nap As Well." She Yawned, Slowly Padding Towards Soft Grass And Curling Up..
She Woke Up To A Terrified And Heartbroken Cry, And She Scrambled Onto Her Paws. Gorseheart And His Patrol Must've Returned,
Seeing Him Trembling Near A Corner.

"How Long Have I Been Napping? What's Wrong?" She Asked Herself, Padding Towards Him, Cats Were Shocked And Gathering Around Gorseheart. Larchpaw Gave A Horrified Gasp. Sparkstar Wasn't Moving. "Sparkstar!?" She Hissed, Shocked. "I Shouldn't Have Left Him Sleeping After All! He's- He's Dead!" She Thought Miserably, Terrified, She Stared. "Wait- What Happened? He Still Had Lives Left?"
