twelve.

"motherfucker" i yelled

Austin put his foot down on the brakes when he heard my scream. "oh fuck!" i screamed. Austin's hands where still gripped on the steering wheel, out of breath from what he just did. He earned lots of beeps from angry drivers but the look on austin's face showed he didn't care. "shit i'm sorry, you scared me tori!" austin said panicked. "i'm sorry. just carry on driving silly i'll explain what happened" i said. Austin nodded carried on driving to the restaurant and i got comfy into my seat. "okay so explain what was that all about" austin said. "well my ex tom-" i said before austin cut me off. "tom holland?" he questioned. "yep my ex, well he just messaged me" i pulled out my phone from my bag and got up the message. i showed austin my phone and he kept turning his head from my phone and then onto the road again to read the text. "he cheated on me and i found out about two months after my dad passed, it was really hard" i held back my tears but thinking about the whole cheating situation made my heart hurt. "listen to me tori, you didn't deserve any of that, you are obviously way to good for him. now i know we haven't know each other that long but so far i can see that your an amazing girl" he said putting his hand on my thigh. my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest when he did that. he looked up at me and gave me a comforting smile. it was just a moment of tranquility, something i really needed. "don't go out with him" he said. "believe me i won't" i said whilst chuckling. his hand still hadn't moved, i could get used to this.

we made it to the restaurant and a waitress led us to our table "if you'd like to follow me mr butler i'll take you to your reserved table" she said. he nodded and grabbed my hand. he led me through the restaurant before we sat down at our table. the spot he chose was perfect. it was right next to a large window that looked out over to the beautiful beach. the sun had just started setting and gorgeous colours of pinks and oranges lit up the sky. the sound of the waves crashing, austin sat across from me, it was perfect. "do you know that i hate ordering my food" i said randomly. he laughed and said "why." "i don't know i just get all scared that i'll stutter or make fun of myself" i explained to him. one thing i loved about austin is that he would always listen to me when i would talk. like he would actually be interested in what i was saying which was different from all the "mhms" and "yeps" i got from tom. "well what are you having" he said. "i don't know yet but i forgot to bring money with me, i think i only have thirty-" i began to say before austin cut me of "don't be silly, i'm paying you get whatever you want" he said. "um well i'll have steak and chips and a Malibu with lemonade" i said, why not treat myself. he nodded and the waiter was at our table. austin said his order as i went to say mine he cut me off. he had a thing about cutting me off when i speak. "and for the lady she'll have steak and chips and a Malibu with lemonade please" he said to the waiter. he ordered for me. my cheeks grew hot and a big smile appeared on my face once i realised what he did. once the waiter disappeared we both looked at each other and started laughing. once our food arrived we both started eating straight away. austin was devouring his food. i guess he was hungry. "this is so good" i said "mmmmm" is all i heard from austin. i laughed at him as he was so fixed with his meal. once we finished austin went over to the bar to order us some wine.

suddenly someone came over to me. "oh my god tori?" someone asked. i looked up and my jaw dropped. "get away from me" i said sternly to tom. "that's no way to talk to me come on i've missed you" he said. "well i certainly haven't missed you" i said looking away from him. "listen i know what i did was wrong but i really am sorry" he said. "you cheated on me multiple times, after my dads death you knew what i was going through, and you just lied to me saying you had to work late but really you just fucking your co-star!" i said practically screaming at him. i got more attention and glares from people as my voice became louder. "i'm sorry i-" "get away from her man she doesn't want you here" austin voice spoke to him. "who are you" tom questioned "i'm her boyfriend actually" he said. "mm right you sure have downgraded tori" tom said to me before walking away. "boyfriend huh?" i said smirking at austin. "come on i saved your ass you should be thanking me" he said smiling. "thank you austin, i mean it" i said sincerely. "of course, now how about we go home" he said holding his hand out. i nodded and we left the restaurant.

the drive home was just a quite drive. it wasn't awkward or anything it was just calm. once we got home i changed into some comfy pjs and took my makeup of. it was 10.00 bit early to go to
sleep for me but we need to get up early tomorrow anyways. austin was in his room so i shouted goodnight to him. "night austin!" "night tori!" he shouted back. i relaxed in bed thinking about the night i just had. when he ordered for me, payed for me and saved me from tom. he was so sweet. i soon fell asleep. i guess i was still tired even though i had a long nap.

my eyes slowly opened. it was still dark outside. i rubbed my eyes and sat up in my bed grabbing my phone to check the time. "2:17" it read. maybe my body has had to much sleep. i could hear little gasps and sniffles coming from the hallway. curious, i got up out of my bed and went to see what it was. the sound grew louder as i got closer to austin's room. i suddenly grew worried and went over to the door. i knocked the door 3 times to let him know that i was coming in.

when i walked in i saw austin perched on the edge of his bed with his hand covering his face. his eyes where all red and tears streamed out of his eyes. "oh austin" i said before walking over to him and sitting next to him on the bed. i gestured my hands out to give him a hug and he sank into my arms, sobbing on my shoulder. i didn't say anything, i didn't ask if he was okay i just let him sob in my arms. i rubbed his back and ran my hand through his hair. he sounded like he was having panic attack so that's when i stepped in. "hey look at me come on deep breaths okay" i started taking deep breaths for him to copy. after doing this for a few minutes he started to calm down. "do you want to tell me what's wrong" i said to him. "i-i, I'm just so worried that I'm not good enough to play elvis, you know he's the king what if i disappoint elvis fans, what if i disappoint his family, i don't think I'm good enough to do this tori" he said with tears falling down his face. "austin listen to me" i said whilst putting my hand on his face to make him look at me. "you are good enough. i have seen you act as elvis and i am honestly so proud of you. it's like elvis is in-front of me when i act with you. i can't imagine anyone else playing elvis okay your amazing, i have never seen anyone so dedicated to a role" i said to him. he nodded as i said this to him. "you really mean it" he asked me. "of course and so many people are proud of you okay, don't give up, i'm here with you all the way" i said pulling him back into a hug.

we just sat on his bed and hugged for a while. he had calmed down a lot more since i came in. i got up to go to my room to try and give him some peace. "where are you going" he said whilst grabbing my hand. "i wanted to let you get some sleep"
i said whispering. "will you please stay with me, i don't want you to go please-" he said before i cut him off "of course i will austin" i said before climbing into bed with him. he rested his head on my chest and i stoked his hair before we both fell asleep.
