Urgent message

Over the next 5 days, Alex and the others have been inside the hospital for quite some time. The doctors would test their powers frequently to see if any other side effects have emerged. They would take off Alex's restraints to see if she can stay on the ground for a while. Alex was able to only be on the ground for at least 45 minutes until her powers kick in and she was floating again. The doctors had decided to only restrain her ankles so Alex can be able to eat.

For Leon, his powers were super stretch. The doctors would test his power by putting an object far away from him and see how far he can stretch to get it. So far, the widest distant was about 1,000 feet. They also put a few bracelets on his arms so he can control the way he stretches them. So far, his arms were the only things that can stretch.

As for Daffy the 5th, sense his powers were teleportation, the doctors would force him to teleport as far as he can go. He would teleport at least 500 feet away from where he was. One time, he even teleported out of the hospital to make a run for it. But, the doctors had predicted this and were waiting for him outside. Daffy tried it again and again and they still caught him. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't escape.

Taylor E. Coyote's was the most difficult. Her electricity power was all over the place. The doctors would give her a few electrical items to power up. A microwave, a toaster, a smartphone, or an mp3 player. Each one of them she touch were fully charged immediately. Still, they couldn't find a way to make her stop electrocuting them whenever she wanted to touch someone. Not that she wanted to hurt them anyway.

Then, there was Zipp Runner. The doctors tested her powers through a treadmill. A very fast treadmill. Zipp's normal speed was about 15 mph. But thanks to her speed, she was able to go faster than her own brother. Maybe even faster than the speed of sound. Zipp would run around the entire hospital in less than 5 seconds.

Lastly, Tez Tasmanian. After his stunt back in the hospital 5 days ago, Tez was chained in his hospital room trying to get out, but he was guarded 24/7. The doctors would test him due to his super strength by making him separate two tons of metal. It took him a while, but he wasn't just able to separate them, but also crush them to pieces. The guards tried not to flinch in his presence.

On the 6th day, Alex was woken up by her phone. It buzzed on the night stand, making her rub her eyes and yawn. "Dad?" she said expecting the call to be her father checking on her again. But she looked at the ID of the number and realized that it said, 'Dorky Older Brother'.

Without hesitation, Alex answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Sis? Sis, is that you?" Alex almost cried tears of joy. She haven't heard from her brother in so long. She missed him so much. "It's me Ace. It's me."

"Oh thank God. You scared me for a second. I would've called a whole lot sooner but our ship was damaged and it took a while for Tech to fix the communications. What happened Alex?" Alex explained the entire situation to Ace. The meteor, the powers, and the doctors testing them. It was crazy.

Ace sighed. "I see. They did the same thing to us when the meteor hit just a year ago. I'm really sorry I wasn't there for you. I promise that when I get back to ACMEtropolis that you and I spend some time together." Alex huffed a laugh. "Oh Ace, you never break your promises." Alex replied. Ace would've replied back but a crash sound was heard from the other line. Startled, Alex gasped. "Ace, what was that?" Her brother didn't answer immediately. She waited a couple a seconds before he said, "Ace! Are you okay?"

"Something's wrong. I need you to get to the Loonatics towers and lock on our ship's coordinates. Once you do that, send in the army, and let them do the rest."

"Ace! What's going on? Are you hurt?" Another explosion had sounded from over the phone. Ace coughed from the phone, making Alex gulp. "I don't have time to explain. Do it now!"

"But-" The phone went dead. Alex gasped when the call ended. She stared at her phone for a while until she sniffled a bit and had begun to cry.
